Some pointed out that its probably because the Dark Knight Trilogy did well and was fairly bleak and devoid of color. Then Green Lantern came along which was pretty colorful and was god awful in almost every respect and was the last DC live action movie with any color. So for them its probably minimizing risk and playing it safe by giving us more of the same.
Its not just color though either, in almost every respect these movies try to be way to dark and gritty.
and so the cycle begins again, all the DC fanboys get hyped because of a trailer and trash the rotten tomatoes page when it comes out and ends up being shit.
Fuck you snyder, this stuff could have been so much better than marvel.

Everything got put on hold past 2018 and Aquaman was shoved all the way back till December. I'm certain if these films don't do well financially they'll at least consider a different approach. I would rather have them just give up on the West and see if any production companies in China want to work on a Great Ten film and just start peddling their films there if they really want to stick with the Snyder film design.
It has no color or character. The thing about marvel is everything is vibrant and you know and "care" about ball the characters. They look and feel nice. This just makes me depressed and bored.
I will say that cyborg looks a lot better in motion than the stills we've seen. Still too busy of a design but I don't despise it as much now.
There's a couple moments I like here, but it still looks like it's going to be a mess
You'd expect it to be R rated and grim as fuck with that color grading, superman beaming people apart and guts spilling everywhere.
