I agree with her, but her bitchy explanation of the situation is so fucking annoying. I'm not sure I can blame her though.
Well I think the same about that atheist guy who made those videos about how Islam is bad and feminism is bad and stuff, he had some good points, but man, he sounds fucking annoying.
I'd move out of the red light district. I don't think that's a good place to be for anyone.
Its not really surprising that this happened in the red light district.
Its not really surprising that this happened in the red light district.
Are those the places where prostitution is legal? Do the prostitutes just hang out around the area waiting for a customer? Because I understand people mistaken you for a prostitute if you were around that area in skimpy clothes, not so much people wanting to rape you.
I agree with her so much. And also, stop hating on her for being passionate. She has every right to be angry. It pisses me off whenever any feminist issue comes up and you get hordes of young males whining about how men have it hard to but in their own way. It's just such a stupid comparison. I think it's fairly obvious that women definitely have the much shittier end of the stick.
It's not natural, it's a gender role that's pushed onto us by society & peer pressure.
being aroused when you see something such as cleavage is not natural? sure, rape is definitely not natural but feeling aroused is definitely natural. the problem is the way men tend to express this as it gets pretty fucking creepy. please reiterate what you said because i'm not exactly sure what you think is the gender role (is it how men tend to handle the situation of being aroused?) I would say that the crying was a bit far, it didn't seem that genuine. She makes good points though.
Crying in a situation like that is a pretty normal reaction though.
I would say that the crying was a bit far, it didn't seem that genuine. Dude I'd be fucking terrified. That shit would haunt me for a good while, mind flooding with "what if" questions about what could have happened.

Not being able to overpower a single male isn't exactly the most beneficial aspect of you if you're this worried about rape and again, although it's not a solution, I'd like to see being physically fit a positive and attractive aspect about a person regardless of sex.
so if women want to stop getting raped they need to go to the gym more nice mental backflip you got going on here
Did you read what I said? I said it isn't a solution. Saying it is would just be avoiding the issue. What I'm saying is that being able to defend yourself physically is something that is kind of more oriented in terms of social roles towards men than women, who are traditionally supposed to shout for help or rely on their boyfriend to be a stud and beat 'em fuggers up. This goes to muggings, stabbings and any other crimes that can occur to people, not just rape. It's an imperfection in my opinion and should be fixed, but to say it'd solve the issue of rape is something I've never claimed and never will. It WOULD however very potentially lower the current rape statistics if everyone were on the same playing field when speaking of physical prowess. The strength difference between sexes is kind of exaggerated anyway, it's not as huge as most people believe.
no one howls or catcalls a dude running without a shirt on, no one considers a dude "slutty" for being scantily dressed, or beyond that puts down a guy for having a copious amount of sex
No but you get called a faggot and be laughed at. About the clothes that is.
;42303655']Did you read what I said? I said it isn't a solution.
I'm not racist but...
I'm not racist but...
I don't see where you're going with this.
Also, another thing which I'm certain has been said already - I can't help but get annoyed at women who walk around with belt-sized skirts and get pissy when someone looks at their ass.
Also, another thing which I'm certain has been said already - I can't help but get annoyed at women who walk around with belt-sized skirts and get pissy when someone looks at their ass.
they're not wearing it for you they're wearing it for themselves and they have every right to be pissy
get this public
What do you think this is
and how did you come to the conclusion that I was thinking about sex, it baffles me I think you're in the wrong when you read the sentence "heterosexual man will be a heterosexual man" and you think of "sex sex sex"
Then what were you talking about? I'm legitimately curious, I really don't know what you were going for with that line.
Thing is, people are mostly discussing how bitchy she is in the video. Would've been perfectly acceptable if it wasn't in such a bitchy, whiny tone.
"Man, this woman is so whiny about how she was trailed by 4 guys openly saying how they were going to rape her. Maybe I'd accept her logic if she didn't have those stupid emotions."
they're not wearing it for you they're wearing it for themselves and they have every right to be pissy
I don't understand the logic in that, but ok. I mean I'm guessing they're wearing to they feel pretty/sexy?
I don't understand the logic in that, but ok. I mean I'm guessing they're wearing to they feel pretty/sexy?
they are which is totally fine if you don't understand the logic in that you need more girl friends who aren't girlfriends and to just hang out with them girls are exactly like guys with different bodies it's very easy to understand a girl
I don't understand the logic in that, but ok. I mean I'm guessing they're wearing to they feel pretty/sexy?
I can understand both sides. I don't wear winter clothing whatsoever because I don't really get cold and a lot of people stare at me and some even ask if I'm all right and if I need help, just random strangers. A very rare occurrence in Finland. The fuck, I'm not wearing light or short-sleeved clothing to get attention, I'm wearing it because it's comfy and I feel like it. On the other hand, it'd be a lot easier if I wore the same level of clothing as everyone else according to the season of the year. I decide to endure the comments and weirded out stares in public. -10 Celsius t-shirt attire is unusual but hell if I want to wear it, I wear it. Of course it isn't exactly the same thing but I can sort of understand where that argument comes from and while my eyes might wander downwards, I won't start making random comments because I'm respective enough to keep my opinion to myself and won't begin commenting on someone's clothing just because it caused a reaction in me, good or bad. Y'know? Also the post above me, you'd want to wear trendy clothing that made you attractive to most people as well. Then again, the reactions that come with said clothing must be taken into account and you gotta think to yourself "do I really want the attention"
so if women want to stop getting raped they need to go to the gym more nice mental backflip you got going on here
Its like you're intentionally misreading it. He's saying that he wishes that it was more acceptable in society to be a physically strong woman. He also literally says that while its not a solution to rape, it'd still be nice.
they are which is totally fine if you don't understand the logic in that you need more girl friends who aren't girlfriends and to just hang out with them
Ok, it's fine, but I don't understand why they're getting mad at people who are basically acknowledging the fact. Can we please, please not go down 'judgmental asshole avenue', please?
Its like you're intentionally misreading it. He's saying that he wishes that it was more acceptable in society to be a physically strong woman.
girls are exactly like guys with different bodies it's very easy to understand a girl
Um, not really. In fact, to go along with my example - when I wear clothing that makes me feel good and a girl is "checking me out", or god forbid look at my butt, I don't think: Why are you doing this bitch, do I look like a manwhore?! But I guess we're the same so I guess I should be thinking that?
Um, not really. Were this more a balanced model, yes, you'd be both thinking that. Psychologically men and women are seriously not that different.

We should be the same but we end up not being, therefor we're... not the same.
But that's a contradiction. We should be the same but we end up not being, therefor we're... not the same.
It's not a contradiction. When we're born, we have no external influences affecting our thinking, actions, morals etc. In that state we have no differences between sexes. Were the rolemodels given to these infants identical to both sexes and were they taught to behave the same, there wouldn't really show that big of a difference because of their sex, but rather their individual differences.
