I don't think the view counter is unique, doesn't quite add up I know but explains some of it.

The "Sessions" column in the table above isn't unique either, its just the total number of sessions. "New Users" is the number of unique users.

Majority votes are normally ok, but they fail really badly if there are extreme candidates (that cat) in a single-member district (one character slot).
It usually ends with a ton of dissatisfaction, since while the largest possible fraction of voters got their preferred candidate, only a suboptimal fraction got an agreeable one.

(Just to be clear: While I prefer the Masked Puncher, That Cat still counts as agreeable in my book.
Since my talent for drawing is close to zero I try to contribute with subjective constructive criticism and objective meta propositions.)

The Masked Puncher is the better choice because it is ambiguous on the gender, with no face we can make it fair to all boards on Facepunch. Facepunch is too varied of a forum to deiced if it is male, female, transgender,or a robot. This i believe could make the people on the fence like myself agree to donate. Right now it is a mess of characters and to get this done a unified concept that can represent all of Facepunch is what should be focused on. The character does not just represent the posters in this thread but all of us. Also this need to be open to all members the link either needs to be posted on all the other boards or something has to be done to get more traffic.

I would like to see this succeed but right now it is a mess with no viable unified concept. Which is going to put people off.

Giving That Cats history on the forum, maybe the Masked Puncher is afraid of that cat or is paranoid that it is always following the Masked Puncher. I think that would be a subtle in-joke or us as Facepunchers, but also would not lose a comedic meaning to those on the outside.

I hope i didn't upset anyone I am just tryong to sell this to people like me who are on the fence. Besides the masked puncher can have Garys im rich as fuck attitude where The MP is constantly breaking or just upgrading their gear because their super rich.

Just the idea of a "masked puncher" is obnoxious and way over the top for me. How is a generic stick guy thing with a Slenderman face, plastered with the Facepunch logo, better than some "stupid meme"? What relevance does the "masked puncher" have to Facepunch anyway, he's so bland and ambiguous that he represents all of Facepunch at once? At least the cat has something to do with Facepunch if you take away the logo.

Yknow I've been thinking. Why do we even have to make a character be relevant to Facepunch? Why not just make a good character with no limitations. No references, just decent design. I like maskpunch but I just feel it wouldn't fit.
