Facepunch Donates to TFYC - Raise $2k, Design a Character! - General

I'm all for LGBT rights and whatnot but there becomes a point where it's too much.

I support it because I mainly believe it's an interesting character concept.

Also the thing with Vivian is that she's /v/'s waifu/daughterfu/whatever and /v/ is also known as a place that's very bitter so it's pretty natural to make what is essentially a [url=http://myanimelist.net/character/50057/Tomoko_Kuroki]Tomoko[/url] clone. A person that plays video games and has a consistently annoyed/tired look. Facepunch is more diverse than that, despite gaming being the collective interest most of us have, a lot of people don't come here to talk about games a lot. At best we can either make a generic looking dude with a hoodie or something with the Facepunch logo or do some satirical character that wears a gas mask, Valve shirt etc.

Well yeah, apart from the strict moderating I can't really think of anything that genuinely characterize Facepunch as a whole.

How about a Frankenstein character with different parts (literally) stitched on. We could segment each limb and the torso into 2 or 3 parts with which a side of Facepunch can be expressed. This would work well with the gasmask idea because there's not one face that defines us.

Maybe we should just try and create an interesting character instead of trying to shoehorn a bunch of random traits together to try and represent Facepunch.

How about our character is a schizophrenic because that's the only other way I can see both sides of this argument work.

I don't think we should be trying to appeal to absolutely everyone here; if we reach the goal lets just drag some people out of the Creationism Corner and get them to do some doodles. We can vote on the one to choose, because to be honest the majority of facepunch can't really come to a decision through talking through things. Additionally - yes, this is basically copying 4Chan's idea, but I don't think that's really a bad thing. It's a harmless little community event, for charity nonetheless. Regardless of whether or not we're small or weird or angry or with vastly different viewpoints and ideals, surely we can still do something for a good cause without shouting at each other that it's a shit idea.

Our character is a robot with color and shape changing plating. It also has a expandable/retractable [del]penis[/del] antenna.. It has a screen as its face and has serious personality and mental problems. It's over-enthusiastic toward things it doesn't understand and takes everything as facts.
