• Chances of moving to the USA?

As others have said, if you are seriously considering moving here, and if you have the money, take a holiday here, and check some places out. California is not all that bad. Most of the places have great weather, and it's a fairly liberal and diverse state. I live in the Bay Area so my perspective may be skewed.
People here who claim that southern california is good are lying to you. If you come to california, go northern. There are some nice places outside of sacramento county... Try nevada county if you want small towns. I knew of a lot of scandinavian folk that lived in nevada county.
As stereotypical as it is, I would probably tell you to go all out and go on a trip to New York city. Place is priceless. Even if you live there you won't experience everything.
Come to Indiana. We have nothing. Except for the huge influx of rednecks around Indy 500 time.
Get good grades and come study here at one of our top universities. Girls will throw themselves at you since you probably have an accent. If you like it here, stay here, if not then you got a good degree out of it
If you ever do end up moving to the US move to Maryland. We're da best.
If your gonna move, don't move somewhere really populated. Montana is a good place from personal experience, as long as you stay in the MOUNTAINS not the PLAINS. though we don't really get a good anything here
Don't listen to anybody who tells you what state to live in. Live where ever you feel comfortable, you don't need a passport to travel between states. You can just get up and go.
its funny because I want to get out. :irony:
Its hilarious seeing the 13 year old American kids crying about how they would rather live in Sweden when they probably never even left their own city or paid taxes in their life (hint, its more expensive in Sweden). Also you should study hard and if you want to you should look for some sort of grant or scholarship that allows you to study college in the US. We have some really good colleges despite being expensive. If you have a 4yr degree or a masters degree I believe it is much easier to get a work visa, and with that it usually comes with citizenship after a few years. Also girls in the US love accents (minus Indian, Chinese, and Spanish accents). Good luck. As stated in the above post, Americans are nice. At least here down in the south, despite what people say. Texas is one of the friendliest states I've ever been in tbh. Its seriously like 50% White and 50% Mexican and we all get along. If you get into Arkansas and those states is where you see backwoods shit.
Taxes are HIGHER in Sweden? Woah, SHOCKER! I totally wonder why that is!
I understand that you are 15 years. The government of Sweden isn't socialist, it's a bourgeois coalition between liberal and conservative parties.
Which is why the former leading party is called the social democrats? Call it whatever you want, in Sweden we call it socialism.
Our leftist FORMER government did not want that. Our right-wing government we have RIGHT NOW certainly DOES NOT want that! Or did you not know that Alliansen != Socialdemokraterna? What is so wrong with everyone having the same salary anyway? What happened to plain old work performance pride? Alas you are young and obsessed with money not unlike myself :) I would throw my values out the door quicker than you can say Jack Robinson and screw over anyone I did not know personally (and like) if I had the chance to become rich. Am I not a nice person?
I am well aware of that that was our former government, I was just making an example. And besides, it probably won't be long until Socialdemokraterna gets elected again, since people here are lazy fucks. What is wrong about people having the same salary, you say? Well, as stated before, people wouldn't spend years getting a good education if they were just gonna earn as much as someone cleaning toilets. What would it be worth? We would lose doctors, teachers etc because they simply don't see a reason to get a good education. If you spend years having good grades and trying to make something out of yourself, you deserve to have a higher salary. I am not obsessed with money at all, I'm just saying that if you think realistically socialism would never work out.
^^Ready for SAT ? and the GRE ? Your life is settled then.
Taxes are HIGHER in Sweden? Woah, SHOCKER! I totally wonder why that is!
Because Sweden has something to tax about that doesn't blow up in middle east
Come to Indiana. We have nothing. Except for the huge influx of rednecks around Indy 500 time.
It's all corn, rednecks, and more corn. I hate my state.
I recommend you move to Texas, I heard they're really accepting and friendly.
Fix your grammar sir. Also, don't idolize the U.S.A. We are a shitty country :downs:
you want to move FROM sweden ... TO the US? what?!
- Something of yours WILL BE STOLEN
Yeah, your virginity. :smug:
Move to Canada. It is America without all the bullshit. Guaranteed. Less fast food places and stores here in Canada though.
Dude Sweden is like in the top 3 in the "best countries" chart (with Norway on top)
As a tax paying adult living in the Midwest (Wisconsin), I can't help but laugh at all the kids bashing our country. Like others were saying, it's your choice, and make it carefully. The economy here is like everyone else's (thus a world economic crisis), except China. Living in the Midwest has it's benefits. First off, I don't have to worry about any tropical storms or such like the East Coast guys. Nor do I have to worry to much about earthquakes (I did feel one a few years ago when we had a rumble down in Missouri). However, if you don't like snow, check into the the south half of the country. We just had about 20 some inches of snow yesterday, plus white out conditions, etc. As for the economy up here, you do need some sort of degree to get a well paying job. There are a few industries where you can earn internships such as contractors, electricians, etc. The construction industry is getting back on its feet again. Otherwise, a degree or certifications in IT should land you a job in a bigger city. Wisconsin is one of the heaviest taxed states, but that's changing. Otherwise check some information on Minneapolis in Minnesota. Minneapolis, aside from the American football team the Vikings, isn't too bad. The rivalry between the Vikings and the Green Bay Packers is always fun to get into. Go packers! If you do come to visit, don't get stuck up in a tourist dream. There are a lot of things to see in this country, but focus on finding information on living expenses, housing costs, jobs, etc. Once you live here, enjoy the freedom of going state to state without hassle (I'd suggest driving) and check out the sights. Don't listen to all the stereotypical comments from people that know nothing about how this country works. It's not that bad of a place.
Which is why the former leading party is called the social democrats? Call it whatever you want, in Sweden we call it socialism.
The social democrats is still the leading party, they have been the leading party since 1918, and they are indeed socialists. But, they aren't in the government because right now because some other parties are ruling right now, and the currently ruling parties aren't socialists, because they are liberals and conservatives. Therefore our government is bourgeois. Simple enough?
Come to Canada. We love immigrants.
Come to Canada. We love immigrants.
Do that
Come to Canada. We love immigrants.
I actually want to move to canada myself. Don't you need a degree to get there; though?
I actually want to move to canada myself. Don't you need a degree to get there; though?
No? Its just straight forward immigration.
So that means 7/10th of USA fucks up if it's gonna blow up?
Luckily I live on the East Coast. :smug:
Thats a stereotype. Ive been a proud American since i was born. And im at a healthy weight.
Apparently you don't understand jokes yet.
