That whole lightside/darkside shit is cringy in hindsight but what I miss most about the era were skateboarding gameplay mechanics, grinding, and grappling hooks

This sucks. I was going to buy a ps4 for this.

Yeah, Jak 2 was a solid game but christ I used to wonder if I was just terribad at it or if the game was genuinely hard. I wasn't a particular fan of the timed hoverboard levels (like the one at the mine where you had to drop off the bombs) or some of the mother eye-raking racing levels but it's good to know I wasn't the only one who found them to be testing at times. Or that one where you're on the waterfront area and you have to fight your way through waves of KG troops shooting at you all whilst being careful not to fall into the water and get zapped.[/QUOTE]
It's not just you, I played the games around 10 years ago over at a friends' place and decided to replay the games last year since I got a PS3 and the Jak&Daxter collection. Overall it was doable but boy oh boy there were some missions that just turned out to be extremely hard, mostly due to limited health recovery items and shitty checkpoints.

Allegedly this is EU and AUS only.

This is for the players.

Inclined to say it's some PAL/ NTSC fuckery if this is the case. The original game would have supported the 50Hz standard (it did have an option to run at 60 if I recall), and if they based the port on that but didn't adjust the timings it would throw the speed of everything out of whack a bit.
