I buy mine from walmart  Seriously I wanna know the time not create a fucking fashion statement on my wrist.
I didnt have to buy a watch ever because cell phones got invented
You realize your 2nd pic in the OP is 60 dollars right?
Swatches are good. They're cheap, don't ring at airports, are pretty cool looking, and are very comfortable on your wrist.
Don't get those bulky 160$ chrome monstrosities...I'm more than fine with a little leather and plastic watch.

Or you could this. It's like wearing Daft Punk on your arm. Even if you can't read it.
Holy shit, I just got one of those. I bought the silver version on account of it being far less tacky.

It also has an analogue clock, and custom scrolling messages. It turned into an equalizer when I was in a bar, but it says nothing of how to do it in the manual.
For those interested, they're by a company called L.E.D. Cost about $1300 Hong Kong, somewhere around £110

very expensive
I'd recommend getting a swatch, they're nice looking, not too overpriced and pretty practical. I've had a Swatch Irony for about two years now, still works perfectly, is waterproof and everything. Plus it has a special battery that you don't have to take the back off to change.
This ones mine:

Whatever you do, don't get a digital watch.
Also with the price OP says i would say the same as the abover poster said ^
Pretty much anything from the Timex Originals line, http://www.timex.ca/TIMEX-MODERN-ORIGINALS-SKT2N346AW-P761.aspx?l=e
I had one of those 72 LED watches but the strap broke and it fell off my wrist and broke ): So I got one of these off of the market for like £15 lol

I needed a small one because of my stupidly thin wrists.
Never hurts to be prepared. If your phone fucks up nowadays... well... there goes your ability to communicate AND tell the time.
If you've got a watch... well, you have a backup.
That and the fact that watches are stylish and shit.
Well, not mine. I wear an old Citizen Windsurfer with a gold/black band since the rubber ones suck.

Fuck man, that's so cool. I'm not sure if I could pull one off, but I'd still love to have it :v:
So it just randomly turned into an equaliser? Was it responsive to the background sound?
Yeah, there was a live band playing and it seemed to. I'll give the manual another flick through.
I'm sure you could pull it off, chrome goes with anything.
get a mothafuckin swatch
I like my watch just like my women, bare and pristine:

Anyone who buys a watch that costs more than a phone or ipod is an idiot.

Or has disposable income.
Way to much digital and big wrist junk on this page. Needs more simplistic minimalist.
Check out this one.

All from deal extreme. All cheap.
Call me pretentious but when I see someone with a watch bigger than their wrist and more gold/silver than a jewelry store I instantly think they are overcompensating and just look dumb.
I also instantly think that people who wear digital watches can't tell time on an analog watch. Just my opinion, I'm entitled to it.
My last watch was a super-simple, cheap leather strap one. Unfortunately the strap wore out and broke. :c
My current one is a large-ish unwieldy metal/plastic thing, but it's pretty good. I've gotten used to it by now, plus it's waterproof which is useful.

I think that a watch is just as important to an outfit as a good pair of shoes, a nice watch can make you look smart.

And surely makes you look better than an iPhone in your pocket or something. Watches are symbols of status, they can very well be regarded as an important part of your clothing.
Shell out the 500-2000 bucks for a Movado already! You'll get the pussy! I already told you this. It's simple, sleek, elegant, and cool looking. And it's not hipster, if that makes any difference.
Am I the only one who wears a watch because it's more convenient to just look at your wrist rather than taking something out of your pocket and pressing a button to make it light up so I can see the time?

Disregard the price, I got mine for $75 from a store that I can't remember. I'm wearing it now and it is truly beautiful.
Got myself a Breitling Chronometre. :smug:
