then why are you saying you 'agree with everyone' only like two people dislike it and that is really pretty unheard of to dislike the first film, it's critically acclaimed and honestly you'd be the first i knew that didn't like it
First one was great, it had suspense, had the whole apocalyptic atmosphere... Hopefully they just ignore the seconds film style and do something like the first film.
28 Days Later was god damned awesome except for the scenes with the army and the corny ending.
28 Weeks Later should've been called 28 Retards Later, since it really seemed like everyone in that movie was a fucking retard.
I loved the first one but the ending was sorta stupid (and the alternative endings)

danny boyle had little to do with the second one, so we should be fine
Hopefully it will be an artistic masterpiece again.

This sums up what I came in here to say.
I'm pretty excited.
Danny Boyle will make this movie so epic. I LOVED Sunshine.
lucky me i haven't seen the sequel lol, although i want to just so i can know.
I liked 28 Days later, so I will like this movie too. No matter what.
I liked 28 days later up until the "Good guys become the bad guys when you see how corrupt they are" part. And how he had to fight the military. If it were the military just killing off survivors or something it wouldn't be so dumb as them raping all the women who they rescue.
I hated the ending of 28 weeks later. Such BS.
It was so badass when he fucked that guy up. THUMBS OF DEATH!

Dread Central has learned exclusively that the director of the original film, Danny Boyle, is planning to return to direct the as of yet untitled third film in the franchise. Details are scant at the moment, but we're working to get some more for you.
[/QUOTE]
What? There are 3 movies in the franchise already.
Oh, "Months" hasn't been made yet.
Ridley Scott doing Alien prequels, Peter Jackson coming back to do The Hobbit, Boyle coming back for more 28 x Later? Since when was the movie industry this cool?

28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
gee I wonder what the next one is going to be called

...You consider Ridley Scott making a completely unnecessary prequel to be cool?

Would you rather some Michael Bay wannabe directed it?
28 seconds ,ater, basically dedicated to the monkey biting scene

I said it was unnecessary so, no, I'd prefer it didn't exist at all.
My only problem with 28 weeks later was the POV of the dad just as he became a zombie. We see around 3 soldiers run at his and try to hit him with their machine guns. Didn't anyone just think this crisis could have been averted if they just stood back and shot him straight away.
the best part of 28 Weeks Later was the opening.
funny thing is Danny Boyle directed most of the opening.

28 minutes / hours later would be a perfect movie IMO. Show the social collapse and all.
Up until the part where they reach the army encampment, Days was brilliant. Then it got shitty.
Weeks was pretty good, I don't understand all the hate on it. Really they're both good films in their own right.

why does everybody hate the end scene with the military? it was great.

Because in society's eyes, the military are the heroes who will save you.

It's not that it's just it was done in a weird and odd way, for instance the main character ran around in the rain naked for half and hour and no zombies went after him but the zombies managed to take out armed military personal during the same time frame, how the bloddy heck did he survive nude, plus they wanted to rape a 6-year old girl that was just weird as shit (but I guess that has nothing to do with it)
I just hated it because it detracted from the zombie storyline and put the focus more on the military, I would have prefered if they had got that ordeal with the military being evil out of the way and carried on with the film rather then spending half of the film on it.
