Danny Boyle Directing the Next 28 Days Later Sequel
It's not that it's just it was done in a weird and odd way, for instance the main character ran around in the rain naked for half and hour and no zombies went after him but the zombies managed to take out armed military personal during the same time frame, how the bloddy heck did he survive nude, plus they wanted to rape a 6-year old girl that was just weird as shit (but I guess that has nothing to do with it)
I just hated it because it detracted from the zombie storyline and put the focus more on the military, I would have prefered if they had got that ordeal with the military being evil out of the way and carried on with the film rather then spending half of the film on it.
Uh wow okay that's dumb
a) he wasn't naked, he just wasn't wearing a shirt
b) he evaded zombies because it was a relatively secluded forest area, there weren't all that many around, and those that were could pretty easily be outrun and hidden from what with all those damn trees and bushes
c) the military being giant cocks was a great thing. their saviors turned out to be worse than the zombies, that's a pretty good plot device
d) yeah they wanted to rape a- hang on 6 year old? she was like 13 or 14 man. and anyway yes, it's fucked up, that's the idea, supposed to make you think 'wow that's fucked up, they must be really desperate'. you know, how quickly someone who's job it is to protect will throw their morals out if they're desperate enough.
e) detracted from the zombie storyline? how? zombies, more zombies, then military, turns out they are worse than the zombies, zombies again. the zombies never stop being the main focus, it just shifts towards an added obstacle, that not only are zombies trying to get you, so are the people (that are supposed to be your friends)
and half the film? nowhere near half the film
that climax was great, if you didn't like it, well i don't know what to say, you seemed to not have grasped it i guess?
I enjoyed both movies thoroughly to be honest. Can't wait for this one.

It's just like The Walking Dead. What you realize is that people in the zombie apocalypse are just as bad or worse than the zombies themselves.

1. He had awesome survival instinct
2. They were taken by suprise
3. 6 year old girl? WTF are you on about?
28 Days Later was a fucking masterpiece, I loved every second of it.
I did enjoy Weeks though, but not as much as I loved Days. In any case, I can't wait for this one.
28 Days Later was pretty great, probably the best modern zombie film. 28 Weeks Later sucked mega donkey dick. I don't expect this one to be any better, but a surprise would be nice.
28 weeks later wasn't directed by Boyle, though.
He directed the beginning of the movie though.
Which was incidentally the best part
What makes up the "beginning"?
What makes up the "beginning"?
Not a very large part according to IMDB:
"Danny Boyle directed some of the second unit filming, and also directed one first unit sequence; the scene in the barn near the start of the film where Sally (Amanda Walker) and Geoff (Garfield Morgan) are killed."
I hated it because they were killing our British Allies
Hopefully this will take in North korea,Zombie Films taking in the west is getting boring for me
dear leader cares about the UK

Basicly it's the part when the infected start attacking the cottage and Robert Carlyle runs like hell with at least forty zombies after him.
I've heard this before. Good to know. I fucking hated 28 Weeks Later.
I liked it more than the first, both are amazing.

I actually forgot that part ever happened but yeah that was the best part I guess.
I'm going to be one of the infected(not zombies, get it right) from 28 days later for halloween.
You can get the contacts from the movie custom made and fit, but they cost over 100 dollars per lens. I'll have to make due with blood shot contacts.
But yeah, can't wait. Any estimates given? I'm thinking early 2012.
28 minutes / hours later would be a perfect movie IMO. Show the social collapse and all.
28 Day Earlier maybe? Not sure how you'd work action into the movie to keep people interested but I'd like more backstory.
The first film was great, the second was just a huge idiot fest.
Can't want to see more of the angry virus, but i'll still refuse to call them zombies.

hey
HEY
YEAH YOU
mr 'they're not zombies'
i got news for you pal
zombies aren't real. there's no one definition for them, they're fiction. some vampires sparkle, some set on fire. neither is correct, because vampires aren't real. THE INFECTED ARE ZOMBIES. different ways of being 'infected', different attack style, from biting to punching, it doesn't matter, they come down to creative license. they're STILL ZOMBIES
ZOMBIES TO NOT STICK TO THE RULES YOU OR SOMEBODY ELSE MADE UP IN ORDER TO QUALIFY AS ZOMBIES
ghawrg

YOU TOO BUDDY YOU'RE ON MY LISt
[editline]18th October 2010[/editline]
the FACTUAL DEFINITION OF ZOMBIE
a.a person whose behavior or responses are wooden, listless, or seemingly rote; automaton.
b.an eccentric or peculiar person.
aka somebody who acts weird and has nothing in their noggin.
oh would you look at that it covers both 'running angries' and 'slow arms-out shamblers'
they're not mythical creatures. it's the name given to a MADE UP CREATURE because it exhibits SIMILAR CHARACTERISTICS - that's the only rule. if it fits that literal definition, it's a zombie
The absolute WORST thing about Weeks later is that they expect us to SYMPATHIZE with the kids, the kids who RESTARTED A SECOND FUCKING OUTBREAK. I really disliked weeks for that reason
yeah i couldn't shake the whole 'FUCK YOU, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT. ALL OF YOU. YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY. THE KIDS FOR VENTURING WHERE THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE, THE DAD FOR BEING RETARDED. I HATE THIS FAMILY'
The opening to the second movie was brilliant. Honestly, it actually scared the shit out of me.
Ok so I rewatched 28 Days Later and I loved every second of it.
I think I may have hated it before because I was much younger and my parents' opinions on it may have altered my judgement (that and I didn't watch the whole thing at least I can't remember doing so)
It was so badass when he fucked that guy up. THUMBS OF DEATH!
which guy
hey facepunch I liked both :D
A third one?
Huh. Might be worth checking out.
The first was alright, I don't remember much about the second, though.
Here's to hoping?
I'm not a huge fan of zombie movies, but I like this franchise. Looking forward to see what a 3rd installment brings to the table!
If I had to rate both movies, it'd be like this:
28 Days Later: 8/10 <-- I really enjoyed it, the whole PA (post-apocalyptic) vibe and all was really cool
28 Weeks Later: 7/10 <-- I liked it too; I hated the dad and the kids as well
That young chick in the sequel was pretty as all fuck, now she just needs a boob job and she'll be hot as all fuck.
Rose Byrne isn't too bad a looker either eh

Fuck boob jobs, naturals all the way
Oh yay
OP made my day
I just couldn't get into 28 Days Later, which is a shame because everyone is telling me how good it is.
