I love this.
Art just needs to provoke be thought provoking.

the beginning kinda reminded me of this:
It's not art unless you smother yourself in clay and cut your mouth open with a paintbrush. Don't forget to stab black paint into your eyes.
It's Czech by the way. I recall seeing it as a small kid on local TV way back, never seen it till now, thanks for showing me again.
...they aired a clay penis on tv?
It was the 90's and I'm sure different standards exist there.
That was great. I wish there were more videos like it.
Real art is anything someone has put a meaning behind. Art is anything that someone has made.
that was great
Great video op. As far as the argument goes, both hipster and the op's video presentations are art. The problem is that the art itself is varied. Both the Mona Lisa painting and a mustache painted on it were considered art. In my opinion the problem with hipster art is the maturity of it. Just like wine, art matures with the artist. Becomes more "tasty" even. Hipster art is immature, based on shock-value, because hipsters aren't skilled enough to express themselves in subtle ways. That's why they go for the nudity and surreal cards so often. Not to mention most of the times the message of their art is bland too. "Life is pain", "Protect nature" and so on. If you mature from that you stop being a hipster and grow to be an artist.

holy shit op, I have been searching for exactly that video for over 10 years now. I remembered secretly watching it as a little kid on a random vhs that belonged to my parents, but I got terrified in the 2nd part and couldn't bring myself to finish watching. years later, having seen lots of horror and gore movies, and having taken quite a liking to them, I remembered that video and wanted to rewatch it, to see what it was actually like, but despite desperately looking for it (crawling imdb like a madman) I never found it. I think I came across the filmmakers name once though, and thought to look for it on pirate bay, but to no avail. I dunno if I checked youtube back then... however, this is indeed much more artsier than I remember it, but what did I know back then about art, I was 6-7 years old at most. still its memory stuck with me ever since, and tonight I finally find relief, thanks to you. you made my night, op. you don't know how much this little gem means to me right now.
