You know coming down to all of this, i'm pretty sure going to jail would be a better life lesson for a kid than getting punched
Because a 14 year old with a criminal record is going to do well in life.
You show a flight response while the op showed a fight response. Is it making sense yet?
But he didn't, that's what i'm saying. Look at what he did, can you honestly say that a person who deliberately dodges two punches, shoves a person down, and lets them get back up is going on instinct alone?
jailtime for something so minor is not normal bro they'd probably get something along the lines of community service, or something else not insane
It's juvie! It's not a fucking federal prison if a kid goes out and assaults someone i'm pretty sure they would get a small amount of time in juvie at least.
Because a 14 year old with a criminal record is going to do well in life.
Non-felonies from before you're 18 get closed off/wiped off when you turn 18. So no it wouldn't affect him in the long run.
Wat. How does that punishment suck, it's the normal thing. What would you propose? Goddamn no one is arguing that shut up.
sending him to juvie because of a tiny scuffle like this is way over the top.
So people who are weaker than you can steal your shit or threat you as shit and you can't say a word to them? Nice logic there. Solid points, one thing tho. There is a difference between, "I didn't do anything because I'm too weak/he might have had something/I had a bad feeling about this" than "I didn't do anything because I'm scared of confrontation and I'd rather have people perceive me as a pussy than someone violent.
Do you read or are you purposely not paying attention? Because, if you read you would know that isn't at all my logic.
But he didn't, that's what i'm saying. Look at what he did, can you honestly say that a person who deliberately dodges two punches, shoves a person down, and lets them get back up is going on instinct alone?
How is that not fighting, seriously?
How is that not fighting, seriously?
It's fighting but not by instinct alone. It shows thought behind it.
Goddamn no one is arguing that shut up.
What? He asked why would I challenge someone who's not a danger to me. Meaning challenging people who are not a threat to you is bad even if they take advantage of you. Meaning people who are not a threat to you can take advantage of you. According to him.
You sure owned his ass
It's fighting but not by instinct alone. It shows thought behind it.
So?
What? He asked why would I challenge someone who's not a danger to me. Meaning challenging people who are not a threat to you is bad even if they take advantage of you. Meaning people who are not a threat to you can take advantage of you. According to him.
No he said why would you challenge some kid that cuts fucks sake stop extrapolating this into some giant life lesson about not being a doormat.
So?
So he would have been able to handle it differently if he chose.
That's what I'm reading though, you're the one with life experiences so you know the situation better? He hasn't had real life encounters so he doesn't know how to handle it? Anyway, if you had taken your time to read OP you would know Op had Plenty of time to react accordingly. Read better.
You have xen's problem How many fights/hours of training have you receieved.
It's fighting but not by instinct alone. It shows thought behind it.
dodging a few punches and shoving down people who attack you isn't exactly something you have to think about
Do you read or are you purposely not paying attention? Because, if you read you would know that isn't at all my logic.
That's what you asked tho.
It's fighting but not by instinct alone. It shows thought behind it.
Step right up folks, fresh salami straight from the anus!
dodging a few punches and shoving down people who attack you isn't exactly something you have to think about
Some amount, it's not just mindless fighting.
What? He asked why would I challenge someone who's not a danger to me. Meaning challenging people who are not a threat to you is bad even if they take advantage of you. Meaning people who are not a threat to you can take advantage of you. According to him.
He only became a threat after OP stated his comment. The 14 year old then, according to your remarks reacted to the 19 year old taking advantage of him by challenging him outside the store.
Some amount, it's not just mindless fighting.
it never is mindless, there is some thinking to it but that doesn't mean you're going to think up different possiblities like restraining someone, or thinking what's more embarassing to him or whatever
Step right up folks, fresh salami straight from the anus!
You know what? fuck the entire point, you keep bringing up the mystical cure of real life experience which would apparently change it but i'm not gonna go out and fight someone so you can win an internet argument. How about you make a point you can actually prove from the information we have? I've argued sufficiently for it on my end this is going in circles.
Step right up folks, fresh salami straight from the anus!
You know, I insult people while taking on their arguments. You just make fuckheaded comments.
Some amount, it's not just mindless fighting.
Yes it is But you wouldn't know. [editline]18th April 2011[/editline]
it never is mindless, there is some thinking to it but that doesn't mean you're going to think up different possiblities like restraining someone, or thinking what's more embarassing to him or whatever
It's close enough to mindless. It's all just automatic responses
No he said why would you challenge some kid that cuts fucks sake stop extrapolating this into some giant life lesson about not being a doormat.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT

Depends on what you see as a threat. I understand that in danger you might not stay cool, but a 14 year old is hardly dangerous for me.
Exactly why then would you even challenge him, or want anything to do with him?
He quoted the part when I say the kid is not a danger to me. Then asks why would I challenge him. The question is then, "why would you challenge someone who's not a threat to you?"
You have xen's problem How many fights/hours of training have you receieved.
You really are dense. You want to stick to op yet you make it personal. Read the damn OP, you would then know that OP did have a choice and this Fight/Flight thing you keep referencing really has no place here.
it never is mindless, there is some thinking to it but that doesn't mean you're going to think up different possiblities like restraining someone, or thinking what's more embarassing to him or whatever
Ok then this just goes down to the point that the op is a violent dick. His mind pushed him to the option of bashing a 14 year old in the face, someone else may go towards just tackling him.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT He quoted the part when I say the kid is not a danger to me. Then asks why would I challenge him. The question is then, "why would you challenge someone who's not a threat to you?"
I'm talking about the fact that the kid has literally no effect on your life and is taking advantage of you in maybe the most spurious way possible. This isn't some friend manipulating you, this isn't something that actually affects you, it's a kid delaying you 30 seconds.
He only became a threat after OP stated his comment. The 14 year old then, according to your remarks reacted to the 19 year old taking advantage of him by challenging him outside the store.
How was the 14 year old taken advantage of wtf :v:
I'm talking about the fact that the kid has literally no effect on your life and is taking advantage of you in maybe the most spurious way possible. This isn't some friend manipulating you, this isn't something that actually affects you, it's a kid delaying you 30 seconds.
So you let people take advantage of you as long as those are small things? Where do you draw the line? Does the line progresses in time? When will it be "whatever" for you when your best friend fucks your gf? I would think you either are a pushover or not. Might be wrong tho.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT He quoted the part when I say the kid is not a danger to me. Then asks why would I challenge him. The question is then, "why would you challenge someone who's not a threat to you?"
No what i'm asking is if he's not a danger to you why would you, yourself want to fight him or make an example out of him?
Ok then this just goes down to the point that the op is a violent dick. Your the one who isn't making anything new for us to comment on, you are the one going in circles here.
14 year old did something stupid, 19 year old got angry about it yeah sheesh really stupid of OP to say something about it
yeah sheesh that's not at all my point
Whoa! Settle down. Your the one who isn't making anything new for us to comment on, you are the one going in circles here.
Nope. I bring up different points going from the OP, you say "instinct" and pretty much nothing else. (i swear to god if i get my 4000th post from this moronic argument)
How was the 14 year old taken advantage of wtf :v:
Exactly. OP wasn't being taken advantage of. Thank you.
You really are dense. You want to stick to op yet you make it personal. Read the damn OP, you would then know that OP did have a choice and this Fight/Flight thing you keep referencing really has no place here.
Answer the question

You do not think when fighting, if you do, be ready to lose a lot of fights.
