Robert Plant's new album is actually pretty fresh and interesting for someone his age. Doesn't sound anything remotely like Led Zepp or his other stripped down guitar stuff.
Here's a band from my city. New album out. Saw them last night live, pretty good:
El Pintor was released today!
Scott Walker + Sunn O))) got leaked haven't listened to it yet, but i'm optimistic
Listened to it last night, still trying to figure out if I like it or not I think I'm going to sit on it for a few weeks before I give it another shot. Definitely give it a try, though.

Yeah, Sunn O))) is definitely at their best when they're drone after drone after drone For now I'm satisfied with the new Earth, too [editline]September 20, 2014[/editline] The new Grouper album just leaked, you guys should get on that if you haven't heard her yet
new David Sylvian next month.. and so far the biggest highlight for me was Scott Walker/Sunn O)) but honestly there's been a bucketload of good stuff this year. [editline]17th October 2014[/editline]
the drones are sick, Sunn O))) really nailed it with their now tone and sound not really a fan of the whole songs being written around the vocals thing though, a song or two would've been fine but for the whole album?
that's p much how a modern Scott Walker album operates, always lyrics first then everything else piled on top. [editline]17th October 2014[/editline] imo it's more a Scott Walker solo record with backing instrumentalists (this time being Sunn O))) But in all honesty, the styles and imagery of the music and the vocal just haunts the shit out of me anyway.

new Sleater Kinney album in January...
That's 2015!
well... it's 2014 news ;) and they are releasing a single soon too.
well.. they'll be touring in 2015. hopefully they'll be in the UK.
there were a new Neil Young album out.
Bjork just said that she'll be releasing another album early 2015. Seeing as I haven't been super satisfied with her work for the past 10 years or so, I'm not getting my hopes too high. But I'll give it a shot regardless.
I really liked her Medulla album and her live albums are very good. The last two were quite tough ones to get into I have to say, still have to figure that last one out. Her producer Mark Bell died a couple weeks ago which was sad.

I'm holding out hope she'll make another Homogenic or Vespertine; those albums are so incredibly important to my life
Homogenic would have never existed how it is if that stalker of hers didn't kill himself. Sometimes it's stuff like that that creates hard-hitting art.
Tha Carter V is coming out December 9th...hopefully.
It's a good year for hip hop so far. @Bjork It would be amazing to have another Vespertine. It would be nice for Bjork to record another album as intimate as that one.
David Bowie releasing new stuff. I guess he's here to stay after all.
Azealia Banks did a Beyonce and dropped her full album. [editline]11th November 2014[/editline] and it's actually pretty good
New Skyharbour out haven't had the chance to give it a listen yet but pretty hyped.
David Bowie releasing new stuff. I guess he's here to stay after all.
I think both tracks are dreadful. The first one sounds like a brass band tuning up while he soundchecks over it. I know Bowie is artistic and experimental with his music, but that never came at the expense of melody, tune and song. But I could just be wrong and ignorant. But I wouldn't buy an album of Sue style tracks.
new world's end girlfriend is finally coming out, 2014.12.25 it's been ages since the last proper release, so glad he's back again
Listening to Issues new EP and it's pretty much just pop, they dropped the metalcore entirely on it, but it's still great and worth checking out.
Issues dropped a new EP? When the fuck did this happen?
Issues dropped a new EP? When the fuck did this happen?
Officially today, but it was leaked earlier.
Got a link or a name or something? All I'm finding is the neck deep thing.
It's called Diamond Dreams. Apparently they also included it with a deluxe edition of their ST or something.
