The new Swans song isn't weird in general, but it's definitely weird for Swans
It's kinda funky.
I like it. I can hear the direction they went in for the Seer present, but I also get a funky vibe with a more alternativey sound structure like on the Great Annihilator. Hyped to hear the rest of the album.

I actually liked Brothers.. But once a band becomes too samey, it kind of disinterests me :(
I hoped they'd collab with other folks and start experimenting more, but yeah the pop effect has set in.
There really wasn't much of a difference between Brothers and El Camino, which was a shame.
I listened to El Camino before Brothers. so I kind of missed the disapointment train.
Was listening to the NPR music podcast, and heard a song called "2D", didn't remember who it was by. Too bad I can't find it now, I believe it's a 2014 track.
