mutual combat would be a great name for a fighting game
I don't see how a punch to the face in a fist fight can be deemed at a "cheap shot" unless there's something I'm missing here. Also he had an amazing amount of restraint.
The only reason they were saying that was because they were tough-shit morons who didn't want to believe that a man in a costume just kicked their ass.
The loser with the camera didn't even follow the fight as it was going down the street.
I had to put it fullscreen and use binoculars, and I still barely saw the knockout punch before two people stepped in front of the fight.
That was the worst camerawork I have ever seen.
and his commentary was nerdy as hell
"Mutual Combat"
Okay internet detectives, find out the laws behind that

That's because the police were keeping them from getting any closer.
Seattle Police Department’s Sgt. Whitcomb confirmed to Seattle Weekly that the fight between Phoenix Jones and the man wearing the orange shirt was legal according to Seattle Municipal Code 12A.06.025. Whitcomb also stated that the Police Officers on the scene did their job according to the “unique” situation.
Fighting.
A. It is unlawful for any person to intentionally fight with another person in a public place and thereby create a substantial risk of:
1. Injury to a person who is not actively participating in the fight; or
2. Damage to the property of a person who is not actively participating in the fight.
B. In any prosecution under subsection A of this Section 12A.06.025, it is an affirmative defense that:
1. The fight was duly licensed or authorized by law; or
2. The person was acting in self-defense.
C. As used in this Section 12A.06.025, "public place" means an area open to the general public, and includes streets, sidewalks, bridges, alleys, plazas, parks, driveways, parking lots, automobiles (whether moving or not), and buildings open to the general public including those which serve food and drink or provide entertainment, and the doorways and entrances to buildings or dwellings and the grounds enclosing them.
(Ord. 109674 Section 3, 1981; Ord. 108908 Section 1, 1980; Ord. 102843 Section 12A.04.090, 1973.)
Basically, as long as you aren't going to hurt anyone else or damage any property, and you can get a cop to supervise, it's legal.
wow. I actually learned something today.

my life just became a chinese action movie
I love how the guy realized how fucked he was after getting kicked three times, then tries to back down even though he agreed to fight.
OP, I suggest to replace your video with the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVLvAOsX95M
When I heard there were 'superheroes' in Seattle, I figured it was some weirdo who was gonna get his shit kicked in the moment anything serious happened.
I had no idea he would be this badass.
I've never heard of this mutual combat law but if what they said is true the cops can't really do shit about it.
It reminds me of this. Start at 1:44
