I wonder where that guy was? Did all the customers in the dealership hear his ranting? He must be really embarrassed.
After everything is over, you should post the name of the place. I want to read the reviews.
Fuck yeah that's awesome, great to hear you come out way better on this!

When it gets somewhere I'll post the name of the place. The office he had was really small, so someone may have heard him.
That's incredible. Like >VLN< said, much better than any of our stupid ideas :v:
Dunno if anyone remembers this issue, but I got a call from the lawyers handling this saying the loan company cant procure the title. They may have sold off the title or something fraudulantly. Looks like this is going to get a lot more exciting. If no one can procure the title, then I can ask for it in so many words. Then I'll part it out, put the seats in my dart, and haul it off to scrap.
An epic tale, good sir.
I do realize it's been about 5 days here, Serj, you got any news on this? I'm curious as to how this is working out for you.

Well, It's working, but it's annoying. I applied to the title and it turns out there's no lean on it. I guess now it has to be found, otherwise it will be salvage. But either way it will be out of my life hopefully soon.

Whats the VIN number? I can run an autocheck/someone can and see the history on it, itll show liens, where its been registered, etc. If the dealerships done something fishy with the title and stuff, maybe itll show up

I tried autocheck and all it said is its a 4 door hatchback made in the US. Also that there are 20 records on it. Ill send you a PM or anyone else tht has the ability to check. The info may not be up to date or something.
Also just got a recall notice. Apparently the airbags have a problem with deploying when not needed. oh lol. one more thing...
From what you showed me fordlird, the car has had a lien on it since it was sold somehow. It also lived in four different states, and none of them were California which is supposedly where the dealership had to procure the title. I find it odd that the car had a change of adress 3 times in washington right before i bought it in bremerton. It also does not show me ever reregistering it even though i did. Perhaps you can share the info here. Im my phone and cant copy the link. Im not sure what it all means buy am leaning towards a parts car assembled frpm many cars. Its definitly been in an accident. You can see wrinkles all over the body, and the motpr was not a matchibg
Heres the link to the autocheck so others can see;

Another thing to point out again, the corrected title on 10/4/2010. I cant think of too many reasons thatd happen really, unless maybe at one point the car was given a salvage title and they changed it somehow?
That is one fucked up car.

also, do you get vin checks for free fordlord?

I dont. However, on that dealership website, they left the autocheck service open so that any VIN can be checked.
Lol that thing wasn't too far away from me in 2008 and 2009. I've probably even seen it, or the car that title belongs too. :v:

The pontiac was probably scrapped in 1994 as well. (well, 2004) I find it highly unlikely that the car went trough 4 states, 4 owners, and has never been paid off... no matter how upside down the loan was, eventually the lein should disappear, so who had the original lein is the question... I have a feeling the correction of title when I bought it was the dealership asking for a new title to the car, which is illegal. Any dealership must procure the title of the car in order to sell it. Come to think of it, I had temporary tags for almost 4 months and had to get them renewed because they were "trying to get the title from a lein company in Calfiornia" which didn't make sense then and kinda makes sense now. I have a feeling no one has the title, and I got taken for a ride big time. I'm going to talk to my lawyer again and see if I can scrap it. I don't think there's a real title except for whatever the dash board came out of. After all this too, my credit has not been affected negatively either. Strange huh?

Very strange.
Do all the VINs match between the paperwork, dash, and.. door/engine bay/whereever the other one is?

Well, I'll have to look in the morning. I already know the motor is not for the car. The radiator supoort, and door may have different ones as well. I'll find out when the sun's up.
Well, it was a parts car, and in WA that's a huge crime to reassemble a wreck. The title for the dashboard was clean, the door jamb was a double salvage, and the motor was a single salvage.
Today was the day though. A mechanics lean was placed on it VIA a good friend, and a tow truck came and got it. I "owed" a mechanic over $2,200 in repairs on it, so they came and got it, and since about 20 days ago, the company had about 30 days to respond to the lein and pay off the "debt" to get their car back... well they have 10 days but its not going to happen. At that point the mechanic owns the car. Then he can sell it for the lein amount, or less, like... free... to someone... you know. Hopefully this makes sense.
