That album is the best of theirs, their other stuff is Lo-Fi to the point of sounding almost bad. But It's got a certain charm to it if you don't let the quality bother you.
I read he does Freak Folk oriented things. Plus Lo-Fi you say?

His album "The Doldrums" is really interesting. He recorded it on an 8 Track, and didn't have any drums or a drum machine, so he did the drum sounds with his mouth; since it's so lo-fi you don't even notice. There's some pretty decent songs on it too, like "For Kate I Wait"
