If you could swing full force at a pipe with one of these and it wouldn 't even get a scratch then I could see the awesomeness (swordfights anyone?) But otherwise it kind of sucks. Looks cool though. I'd be worried about breaking it all the time though.

For some reason this topic reminded me of the Go-Gurt Lightsaber Tubes
The Park Sabers are kinda like cheap knockoffs... except they are the same price o.O which is funny. The Force FX ones are simply the best, have a look at this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6s27cKqhHo These are seriously the brightest and best looking ones you can get.
I have mace windu's model, I got it in 5th grade (like 5 years ago). It was $90 new from Borders and it was around the release of EP3. I wanted a luke skywalker one but they didn't have it so I cried and they had one left, mace windu. I'll post pictures in a sec, gotta take a few.
Alright sounds good :D
That, my good sir, is a a childs toy. And incoming shitstorm for the use of "xD"
that one is a collectors item, they usually go around 150-180 USD, depending on the color. Mace Windu's lightsaber usually will fetch 80, while the sith ones are a dime a dozen and only go for 100.
Are the ones on thinkgeek the master replicas?
My dad's friend has got two of those. Darth Vaders and Anakin Skywalkers. I got the chance to trie them because I donated the batteries from my flashlight to make the saber work.
I don't have a lightsaber, but I video edited one first video I made (and so far, the only one) [editline]08:46AM[/editline] It's a Nerf Sword my parents got me and my brother for christmas
Anyone else start making lightsaber sounds with their mouth when reading OP?
These photos are pretty damb good. I sure would love to have one of those.
I have a blue one, I challenge all of you to a duel.
Pfft, I own a real one.
Fuck.
You lucky bastard.

luke's lightsaber was always coolest to me.
When i read the thread title I was expecting to see OP's wang.
It is kind of misleading, isn't it?
When i read the thread title I was expecting to see OP's wang.
I didn't, I expected a fully operations lightsaber. :colbert:
Take picture with it sticking out of the fly in your pants and making this pose:
These things'd save an assload of time rotoscoping if you were to make a short movie but ultimately I don't think it's worth the price tag. [editline]01:43PM[/editline] Unless you just have it as a colletable type thing.
My friend has two and never uses 'em. He's go two cool ones too.
They are just collectors items, not really made for use in movies.
If they weren't meant for movies then why do they glow :smug:
I don't own one but i'd like to know where to purchase one.
http://parksabers.com/
If they weren't meant for movies then why do they glow :smug:
Because unlike in a movie you can't paint in the glow IRL. I think they did use some of them for Episode III though.
Because unlike in a movie you can't paint in the glow IRL. I think they did use some of them for Episode III though.
Are you shitting me? They used THOSE in place of props they made themselves? Fuuuuuuck me the Star Wars crew are lazy asses.
Well obviously with proper Episode III styled props of course, but presumably the same basic technique to make the stick glow. There's some closeups where the blade casts a glow onto the actors, and I think they used ForceFX-style sabers for that.
Brb going to re-watch Revenge of the Sith.
