Is this gonna be multiplayer or what? If so, hopefully it'll be like reliving the glory days of BF:V
Of course it's going to be multiplayer that's the whole point of the Battlefield series.
Wait wait wait wait. Expansion packs? What is this? 2003?
Would you rather them call it a map pack?
I am so fucking pumped for this. SO SO SO FUCKING PUMPED. The only thing that makes me a little less excited is that there may not be jets. :ohdear:
First time in a while that I have seen an expansion called an Expansion.
The jets were a major part of Battlefield Vietnam. I would be extremely surprised if they didn't include them.
The jets were a major part of Battlefield Vietnam. I would be extremely surprised if they didn't include them.
That's what I was thinking too, but on the same token I don't know if they want to divert from BC2's formula.
It's a pity the original Battlefield: Vietnam doesn't work very well on Vista/7. :saddowns:
It does for me. What problems are you getting?
Either way I'm not worried I loved piloting the transport Huey the most, and I know that is for sure in the game.
I just exploded with jizz, I played the original addon so much I was adicted :O.
It does for me. What problems are you getting?
Sounds, for the most part. The fact that vehicle music doesn't play bothers me most.
Fuck it. I'm reinstalling BF:V.
Hopefully it wont turn out like 1943.
The first expansion pack i have seen in a while.
It's kinda sad the most exciting thing at e3 today was a expansion pack.
I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but you do realize this won't be anything like BF:V, right? Bad Company 2 is nothing like the Battlefield games, and just because it's in the same setting and has the same name doesn't mean it's going to be anything like Battlefield Vietnam. If they design the maps a bit better than the standard BC2 maps, it'll be worth a buy. Otherwise, if they don't open them up a bit, I think it may be have to be a pass.

Even though BC2 makes fun of MW2, they take A LOT off stuff from there. If you have ever played the first Bad Company's multiplayer you would understand how they shrunk down the maps and made them extremely linear, just like MW2's maps. Even Rush maps, which are supposed be the largest maps, are just cut into tiny little sections so 5 year olds playing the game won't get scared. Damn it, I want huge maps with jets and 4 attack helicopters in a dogfight while there is a huge tank battle happening right under them. That's how Battlefield should be, not "oh the attacking team has 1 tank and that's it." They even reuse the same assets over and over for every new map, so I don't see why they can't make bigger maps.
you guys sure do whine a lot
you guys sure do whine a lot
Okay, let's just LET them dumb down games so it's "easier to play". It's okay right? Who needs to listen to the goddamn people who buys and play the games? Once you have their money nothing else matters, right? I'll whine and bitch as much as I want, thank you very much.

edit It may not be a remake of Bf:V but it will still be fun.

BFBC2 is (or should be) all about the city combat (Even though it tries and FAILS at open spaces). If you think about it, the best maps in BC2 are Panama and the ones with a lot of buildings... this is very good for the Saigon maps and the other city maps. Another thing BFBC likes to do is snipe, its major downfall is that PEOPLE SNIPE FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKING MAP LIKE CHEAP BASTARDS WHEN YOU FIRST FUCKING SPAWN NOT GIVING YOU ANY TIME TO DO ANYTHING LET ALONE FIGHT BACK BECAUSE YOUR GUN DOESN'T HAVE THE FUCKING RANGE AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE FUCK THE ENEMY IS RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!! sorry... but BFV did something about that crap (which did something that the bullet drop was supposed to do) with the fog of war (probably because they couldn't do bullet drop). This prevents sniping from one side of the map to the other, and the high buildings actually made very good sniper nests, with the large amount of buildings making it harder for those being fired upon to know where exactly the shot came from but still know the general vicinity. It was a very VERY good sniping system as it made it balanced while still allowing snipers the freedom to snipe wherever they pleased.
BF > CoD
I just shat like 67 bricks. Fucking. Awesome.

Bad Company 2 was just a continuation of that. I'm quite positive they are going to go a little deeper into their roots with this expansion.

I can't wait! I mean to actually have more than 1 helicopter, bitches always steal (and crash) them!
This blew me away when it was revealed at EA's E3 conference. I love BF: Vietnam so much, yet I hate BC2's horrible hit registration and overall feeling. Hmmm..
