By several accounts I have heard that the demo did not do this game justice.
It doesn't at all, I know people who hated the demo but actually liked/loved the game when they bought it
If even Yahtzee says that it's got a great story then I just simply have to play the game now.

And Yahtzee is an ex-story writer, if you didn't knew.
The story is p cool I just couldn't stand the playing-the-game bit.

Did you know that Yahtzee was asked to write the story for duke nukem forever, but his story was rejected.

Yep, I've read that before. Which is a shame, because we'd probably end up with something much much better than what DNF got now.
I couldn't play the demo without thinking the main character was Nathan Drake.
Fed up with the ads before his videos though.
That's what put me off.
Man, if only there was an addon that blocks ads.. It could be called Adblock. Woah.
Really? It's that dark?
I've never played a game with a storyline half as dark as this game's, ever.

Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain.
Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain.
red dead especially. It was a dick move at the end to make you do family farm missions only to kill it all off in one fucking mission.

The music especially, [sp] Seeing John's mangled and shot up body gasping for breath and gurgling on his blood, look up at the sky and collapsing, not to mention the funeral. [/sp]

This game is much more dark than Red Dead Redemption. Much, much more.

Hardly as grim as this game.
The shock factor is really the only thing the game has going for it- don't bother if you've spoiled yourself.
I picked it up after hearing about the plot twists- believe me, minus the deconstruction of the usual WAR HERO plot in these kinds of games, it's a pretty damn generic shooter.

Red Dead Redemption and Heavy Rain kidnapped your family. Spec Ops has you as the kidnapper, and you'll think you're doing the right thing the whole time.
i couldn't stop thinking of [sp] Fight Club [/sp] at the end :v:

If it didn't have generic (but solid) third person shooter mechanics it wouldn't be a deconstruction.
No one complains that Bioshock was a FPS with generic gunplay.
Wow, that was his most positive review ever...
His Portal and Psychonauts reviews were much more positive
