I fucking hate it because when I try go on a thread on Facepunch using my phone, it crashes the browser. And 19" 4:3
[QUOTE=ashxu;23055692]17" :saddowns: [sp]Laptop lol[/sp][/QUOTE] In that case, I'd understand... much less a netbook :v: IMHO if we had Img Tags back, and if you could auto-img_thumb images when quoting posts, that'd be just perfect
And media tag images!
[QUOTE=Pretiacruento;23055641]Wait a second-- What kind of display do you have? I own a 19" wide display and I don't really mind big images, and as for the bandwidth, either just suck it up or pay more $$$ for a better Internet connection[/QUOTE] 2 17 inch monitors, one of which I got for free since they would have been thrown out. and 1 15 inch that I kept from the computer my mom's friend got in 2002. all 1280x1024 Bandwidth isn't an issue for me either. It's just the point I don't like going into a thread to see what images people posted and I can't look at that because they are so huge. [quote]In that case, I'd understand... much less a netbook IMHO if we had Img Tags back, and if you could auto-img_thumb images when quoting posts, that'd be just perfec[/quote] we have image tags for fucks sake. [code] @namespace url([URL]http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml[/URL]); @-moz-document domain("facepunch.com") { body,html{ width:1400px; margin:0 auto; } img{ max-width:725px; } } [/code]Install that in Stylish or Greasemonkey and you won't have images stretching the page.
I remember back when someone posted a huge image the forums would shrink it to where it wouldn't break the forum tables. Where did that go
[QUOTE=Pretiacruento;23055727]In that case, I'd understand... much less a netbook :v:[/QUOTE] Oh god netbooks. I don't see how anyone can do anything on an 11" screen. Our school replaced all the laptops with 11" netbooks, and they are a fucking pain to do anything on, and they can't play 720p videos or fullscreen videos smoothly, so youtube is annoying to browse.
[QUOTE=CharadesV2;23055896][code] @namespace url([URL]http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml[/URL]); @-moz-document domain("facepunch.com") { body,html{ width:1400px; margin:0 auto; } img{ max-width:725px; } } [/code]Install that in Stylish or Greasemonkey and you won't have images stretching the page.[/QUOTE] Didn't work. Or did I not install it right?
The annoying thing is when you put up a huge picture and then some guy quotes your hole post without thumbing the picture, right next to you just to write "cool" or something.
agree'd
It already is. It's called page stretching.
I have a 19" monitor that is 1024 * 768 resolution.
[QUOTE=radioactive;23055152]No, most people in this day and age have big monitors and internet that's faster than 2mb/s[/QUOTE] Not everyone lives in the big cities. I can't get anything faster than 512K here and the municipality is in no fucking hurry to upgrade the landlines.
it is if it's to an extent, if i causes page stretching, then yeah. But i get this all the time in the LMAO pics thread, quote an image "OMGGGGGGGG IMG THUMB THAT YOU N00B" when all you have to do is scroll down twice.
Hey guys. I am mostly talking about in threads like this [url]http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=963175[/url] Who the fuck has a 4k X 3k pixel monitor?
[QUOTE=gerbile4;23056256]Hey guys. I am mostly talking about in threads like this [url]http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=963175[/url] Who the fuck has a 4k X 3k pixel monitor?[/QUOTE] It's the cameras photo taking resolution, it's his thread, and stop bitching. Right Click > View Image.
My computer's a pile of shit, and sometimes huge images and crap crash Chrome for me, which is less than a fun time I'd like something that would maybe make that happen less
[QUOTE=Armotekma;23056299]It's the cameras photo taking resolution, it's his thread, and stop bitching. Right Click > View Image.[/QUOTE] Of course it is his camera resolution. If he had sense he would have downscaled it to a normal resolution.
[QUOTE=gerbile4;23056322]Of course it is his camera resolution. If he had sense he would have downscaled it to a normal resolution.[/QUOTE] Or you could suck it up and realize everyone isn't out to cater for you?
I don't see what the big deal is, there is this magical key combo used for [B]ZOOMING OUT[/B] [U][I]CTRL -[/I][/U]
[img]http://img97.imng[/img]
You're not a good person, you know that right?
[QUOTE=Armotekma;23056345]Or you could suck it up and realize everyone isn't out to cater for you?[/QUOTE] Or you could realize I'm not the only one who has monitors on the small side?
[QUOTE=ProboardslolV2;23057210][img_thumb]http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/8650/testsn.png[/img_thumb][/QUOTE] cool
[QUOTE=ProboardslolV2;23057210][img]http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/8650/testsn.png[/img][/QUOTE] This fits onto my screen no problem. Whereas [QUOTE=ProboardslolV2;23057210][img_thumb]http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/8650/testsn.png[/img_thumb][/QUOTE] You can't see the image so you have to spend more time opening it up in a new tab.
[QUOTE=ProboardslolV2;23057210][img_thumb]http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/8650/testsn.png[/img_thumb][/QUOTE] get banned
having a really small moniter should be a bannable offense
Just because people can't afford big monitors doesn't mean we should be banned for it. It isn't our fault.
I hate thumbnails. As long as it isn't 8000x 56000 with no prior warning, I don't think it should be bannable.
I've got a 4k X 3k pixel monitor...
