I think Star Trek should have been nominated.
And I hope Christoph Waltz gets the Oscar for his performance in it too.
That's a Bingo!
Something tells me Avatar will win, when it really should not even be nominated.
I think everyone knows which one is gonna win.
Inglorious Basterds Christoph Waltz was awesome. Listen to this fucking laugh.
I am the only person who voted A Serious Man because I'm probably the only person in a 50 mile radius who saw it. Deserves to win, though.
I would chose District 9 but the part where the MC turns into an alien killed it for me.
I feel bad for not having seen A Serious Man yet. It's not like me to miss out on a Coen Brothers film. [editline]06:05PM[/editline]
I would chose District 9 but the part where the MC turns into an alien killed it for me.
That was like the point of the movie.
Up or district 9. anything else will tell me that the whole thing is rigged
I think District 9 should win, but I have only seen three movies on that list, so I don't even know what I'm talking about. I swear to god if Avatar wins, I will pull my hair out.
I would chose District 9 but the part where the MC turns into an alien killed it for me.
Why wouldn't you put that in spoiler tags? That's just mean to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
Add Black Dynamite and Carriers.
Where the fuck is Moon Meh, at least I'll know it's an amazing film.
it's incredible how many of these movies were only limited releases
It's fucking hard to choose but I chose the Hurt Locker. Either that or District 9....or Inglorious Basterds. Probably Up.
Damn it. Each of those movies is amazing, and they all could win. All them are excellent movies, with thought out plots, great acting, and astounding looks. Except for Avatar; it looked good and that was itand it doesn't need to win an Oscar for that. [editline]10:18PM[/editline] A lot of amazing movies came out this year...Fuck, this is hard. Up In The Air.. seriously just because you've only seen Avatar, IngBasterds, and D9 it doesn't mean that the others suck. I've watched everything except for The Blind Side and Precious, and out of the others that I have seen I highly think that UiTa is the best of the rest. Hurt Locker is a very close second.
Out of all those, I have to give it to Inglourious Basterds. District 9 a close second, and Hurt Locker a close 3rd. Up is 4th, but after that, I have no real opinion on the other ones.
Hurt Locker or Up in the Air
district 9 wasnt even good or avatar
Avatar does not deserve it. Its just Pocahontas with make up. District 9 was amazing.
I laughed when I saw that The Blind Side was up there.
Hurt Locker. It's gonna win it, too.
I haven't seen Inglorious Basterds yet (well, part of it. I was REALLY wore out and fell asleep :< ), but from what I've heard of it I think it, UP, and D9 should be high up on the list. I liked Avatar and all, but yeah, it was pretty much Dances With Wolves in space (though thankfully lacking in Kevin Costner :v: ).
I don't mean anything bad, but it seems kind of typical that Facepunch would choose D9 as best film over The Hurt Locker or Inglourious basterds.
I'm going to go with Avatar only because the time and money that went into it to make it look as good as it did.
If you did not vote for Up in the Air you must not have seen it That movie was absolutely amazing.
I thought District 9 really good, but kinda boring. I'll have to choose Avatar.
If you did not vote for Up in the Air you must not have seen it That movie was absolutely amazing.
i just watched it, was incredibly important and incredible in general still, a serious man is better...maybe an education too
Inglorious Basterds Or UP but there is many movies on that list that i enjoyed.
