So was there an ending to this show? I never saw an episode where Jack defeats Aku and everything is happily ever after.
sadly, no. the last episode is "jack and the baby", which...well, it doesnt involve jack defeating aku.
I remember that episode where Aku transforms into a chick and Jack is none the wiser
I like the two episodes with the three invincible archers and the ones with those futuristic spartans that had rocket launching spears.
The fact that that's a description of an episode really shows you how awesome this series was.

When you think about it, Genndy was probably one of (If not the best) animators in CN history. I mean, he made what so many of us think of us our favorites, and most of the time they didn't get completely raped by the network. At least he stuck with his work, and tried to keep it dignified. An animator who took pride in his work, and put in some real effort. Unlike that other guy.
Genndy created my favorite cartoons. I remember watching the pilot episode of Samurai Jack with all my cousins.
Genndy didn't animate Samurai Jack incase you're wondering.
Yeah, but it got me thinking about it. [editline]27th October 2010[/editline] The Principle still applies when you consider that Seth and Genndy both create, but don't nessecarily animate. What I meant was, "Genndy is on of (if not the best) directors CN ever had.
They don't make shows like these anymore :frown:
Samurai Jack was my favourite animated show I think. I liked how they hid gore and blood into oil and robotic parts plus great story and characters. As for best episodes I aways loved the ones were he got his ass kicked a lot. One featured a group of robots with various weaponry, other Anubis immortal minions and one this ninja robot. They were great because he was put against tough challenge. But then there were these emotional episode which made me almost cry. For example how he found his homeland, ruined, or when he was infected by Aku and cured it by remembering how much good he did with the help of lizard people. But I think one that combined both put Jack in fight with a blue dude that guarded a time portal. And Jack actually lost. Surprisingly the portal ordered the guardian to let him live because it wasn't Jack time to use it just yet.
Anyone remember the episode where Jack and a Thief were breaking into the same place, while the other guy was using MI6-ish gadgets, and Jack was using Skill? That one was awesome.
I didn't realise it was outline free until I read the first part of this thread. :psyduck:
That was probably the best part about it. All of the colours were able to flow more freely.
Always liked this show. The Scotsman was my favourite character.
this basically sums up every post i'd make in here
aaaaaaaaaa you know what was actually the best episode? jack and the haunted house. it manages to be legitimately creepy, and has some great animation, better than usual.
How about the one where Jack "learns to Jump Good"?
One of the best cartoons ever.
Best episode was the one with those 8 or 9 robots, that each had a special ability. And Jack later found a robot hand to use againts them. That was an awesome episode.
I remember they showed that anime where the guy's eyes gets all serious when he fights. Kenshin was the name but i don't remember the title of the show. Both Samurai Jack and that one aired on CN when I was younger and they had this short commercial comparing them both. I was like "Fuck you, Jack would kick his ass." I went to school and I would see classmates drawing Kenshin and they told me how this show was better and I was like "Fuck you, Jack would kick his ass."

Oh wow, Jack was voiced by Phil Lamarr. I have to admit I never would have thought. The Scotsman was the bomb though. Rarely do I concede that there is a character in anime who is better than Vegeta, but the Scotsman takes it.

I loved this show when I was a kid. It was during Cartoon Network's Golden Age. Now they show those...Monstrosities that they even dare try to call it a TV show (IE Adventure Time and the Normal Show). The only half decent show they have in eyes is probably Ben 10 or that Johny X show and now their also trying to remake some of the older shows(Scooby-Doo and ETC) This is largely why I don't watch TV anymore except the Military and History Channel or when something like Eureka(Sy-Fi) or the Pacific comes on.
This show was often balancing humor and depressing stuff. Like the aforementioned situations where Jack is literally inches away from going back in time but failing because of one thing or another. Like the invincible archer episode. An entire army tries to charge a well that grants wishes, but they're completely decimated by three archers. Jack decides to try to use the well to go back in time, so he tries his luck - and is quickly thwarted by the three archers, who he discovers to be blind, as they react on sound alone. So a portion of the episode is spent on showing Jack covering his own eyes and listening to only sounds. Finally oriented, he rushes the well with his eyes covered and dodging the archer's arrows by hearing alone. Finally he reaches the well and defeats the archers - only for their dark colors to fade, revealing them to be three men who had come to the well before to make their wish and ended up controlled instead to be the well's guardians. Realizing that the well was nothing more than an evil trap, Jack destroyed it in rage after everything he'd gone through to get there. :saddowns:
I wish there was a place to watch episodes of this show online. I vaguely remember the episodes mentioned in this topic, and I really really want to watch them again.
does anyone know where i can buy all the Episodes at
