I FUCKING LOVE SAMURAI JACK
sorry for the caps, but when it concerns such an awesome topic, caps are needed.
I loved the episode where Jackie boy fought the ninja. He had control over the light parts of the mill he was fighting in, but it was sunset, and the ninja controlled the dark parts.

If i remember well it was the one episode that won an artistic award.
The Scotsman's leg used to scare the absolute fucking shit out of me for no reason. :ohdear:
Was the show ever concluded story wise? Just a yes/no would suffice as I'm watching the 1 through last episodes right now :buddy:

Not exactly, but one episode showed how it's going to end in a way.
This show was often balancing humor and depressing stuff. Like the aforementioned situations where Jack is literally inches away from going back in time but failing because of one thing or another.
Like the invincible archer episode. An entire army tries to charge a well that grants wishes, but they're completely decimated by three archers. Jack decides to try to use the well to go back in time, so he tries his luck - and is quickly thwarted by the three archers, who he discovers to be blind, as they react on sound alone. So a portion of the episode is spent on showing Jack covering his own eyes and listening to only sounds. Finally oriented, he rushes the well with his eyes covered and dodging the archer's arrows by hearing alone.
Finally he reaches the well and defeats the archers - only for their dark colors to fade, revealing them to be three men who had come to the well before to make their wish and ended up controlled instead to be the well's guardians. Realizing that the well was nothing more than an evil trap, Jack destroyed it in rage after everything he'd gone through to get there.
:saddowns:
That was a nice episode. Also when it comes to these failed attempts to reach the past I absolutely loved the one story where he went to save a captured fairy by some demon. She could also make only one wish come through in her lifetime. So the baddie trapped her in some kind of orb and when Jack reached for her, his hand got stuck, too. So he tried to get a key and in the end killed the villain only to learn he needed to know the special word to unlock it with the key. So he stared at the body for a while then looked in the sky with this hero face and said: "I wish for us to be free." Cut to black and you could hear the orb disappearing.
I didn't have Cartoon Network when this show was first on but a few years later I caught the episode with the guy and the pram and it was really cool.
I loved this show.
I don't think I ever watched all the episodes.
I fucking loved this show. Then I stopped seeing it and I wondered why. Now I shall never know if Jack was able to go back in time or not :saddowns:
The episode with Spartan like warriors fighting the robots that rebuilt themselves each day was awesome.
Samurai Jack was the first badass I ever encountered.

Just saw episode 10. Quite touching and I hope to see more of that stuff :unsmith:
Best episode was the one with those 8 or 9 robots, that each had a special ability. And Jack later found a robot hand to use againts them. That was an awesome episode.
Actually, it was quite simply a cybernetic synaptically-linked dynodextric isometric polyduritanium power gauntlet.
It's neat how I remember a few episodes really well.
The first episode, with the dogs and the beetles(I think), and two others.
In one, his shoes(probably the wrong term for what they are) break, and he has trouble fighting off a gang of misfits until he can find a real pair.
And the other in which he's hunted by a group of lionesque humnonid things.
edit:
And another in which he learns how to jump insanely high from, some group of creatues.
Annnnd another in which he helps a group of gladitors navigate a mountain so they can win some fight.

i love you man :)
I like it how only eating an Original Billy's Pizza reminds me of the time when I watched this show when Cartoon Network was free of charge for couple of months when I was younger.
