You say you can drive, fly, and walk?
Wow, this is esentially my dream game. Drive anything, fly anything, and run/walk as well. With a giant open world to explore.
I hope he includes more varities of cars, planes, introduces boats and trains, and other fun things.
They need to do something about those trees, good engine nevertheless.
your avvy ugh
Even if there's a small amount of vehicles, it's open source so there will be vehicle mods.

I don't see what is so amazing about this if the world is as bland as the one he showed. There is only so much mountain climbing, plane flying and driving you can do until it gets boring. Big open world games have to have more to do than just exploring and different vehicles.
Sure the engine is nice but the game looks like it will get incredibly boring fast.

He probably changed it.

Its an engine demo, god fuck are you retarded? It isn't even a game yet, they are all TESTS.

Wow calm down bro, I'm not insulting your precious engine demo I'm merely saying it's silly for people to be getting all hyped about this open world exploration and vehicles before there is any actual gameplay mechanic and/or interesting thing(s) added to the world.

Thats just ridiculous, this engine already exists, and can support all that, the only reason there is no "interesting things" yet, is because that just isn't practical if you are testing your engine. You have to create an engine before you can make the game, this is the engine, the game has to be made.
It isn't silly to get all hyped, the fact that an engine like this exists right now, and that it is open source, is enough reason to be as hyped as you wanna be.

I just think people get too caught up in the potential of a game when there is nothing but a rough framework, and when the game finally comes out it never really matches the hype because 1. It takes forever to release from when the hype started, a hype that was built up to a huge degree and 2. It's almost never a game that explores the full potential of an engine at the same time as being fun.
I just have bad experiences from Spore, I guess.

A lot of people are waiting for it so yeah
Oh wow oh wow oh wow!
It looks amazing. I really do hope visuals get improved to photo-realistic and the netcode is superb if multi-player is supported.
We need an engine that can push our technological limits and this looks like it.
EDIT: Oh, apparently it just needs SM4 cards...hrmph. Stupid next-gen consoles need to hurry the fuck up already.
Add some really nice looking water.
If this was ever released in game form i would sit in a dark room at my computer forever and never be heard from again
Imagine this game planted at 4000BC: The paleolithic revolution is about to happen, tribes accross Outerra learn the basics of Agriculture...MILLIONS of people all over the world, and the game progresses through time and the population of the world decide it's own fate throughout time...
The world looks amazing.
Wish I was a fan of planes though.
I hope plane destruction is like IL2's. I would love a modern version of that game :D
I am in love with an engine.
Five people driving fast race cars below while some guys are having an acrobatic flying contest while some tanks are shooting at each other while some guy is out hunting deer while two bros are chilling in the motherfucking ISS high above. FUCK YEAH!
I really hope it has multiplayer :D
I read that and thought about it and I jizzed my pants...
the Infinity engine is quite like this though... Only it also has a procedurally generated universe/planets and stuffs :P
Can this one do that as well? It does look better for what it can do though!
Threads to mentioned Improvements, Probably going to be made

all of that has info on it!
What would make this really awesome:
At two places in the world, perhaps in each team's individual territory, there is a shuttle launch pad where a fully prepared shuttle awaits. A team of players will go up the elevator to the cabin where they can blast off into low orbit. Both teams can race to one low-orbit weapons platform where they fight to the death over the control console. 0-G combat, docking, giant missiles being aimed at each others bases. That would be sweet.
Looks amazing. Reminded me of ARMA II at first.
I am willing to bet you that none of the buildings will be able to be entered.
I am willing to bet you that none of the buildings will be able to be entered.
Let's be a little more optimistic here.
I'm a realist too, but something this awesome....must...hope.
It'd be cool if they had two low-detail cities each really far from eachother and there was a war gamemode, each round whoever took over the city would get military upgrades and in the end the winning team could nuke the enemy city.

...why low-detail cities?
Are you just jealous of people with better graphic cards than you?
And this game is also going to include different Planets.

The Facepunchian Empire shall invade the Moon.
