Yeah I'm not so agreeing on the gun part. You should have to go through a few training courses and tests and such before you get a permit. Like a drivers lisense. You should know (or be taught) how to structure a sentence and spell things correctly so that other people can understand you clearly. If it weren't for a second front and the Allied round-the-clock bombing campaign Germany could have definitely fucked the Russians, and American bombing was the most effective because it was done at day and with more precision than the Brits. And the vast majority of the pacific campaign was done by the US. The Soviet Union wasn't a white knight in shining armor, and it if weren't for some shit choices made by Hitler they would have lost.

Leading up to it, Britan was capturing American Sailors and ships. The French- who were kinda doing the same thing on a smaller scale- came to our aid- who only really did it because they hated Britan-. And the Soviets made some excellent decisions later on, it wasn't just because of German fuck-ups that they won. Ever heard of Zhukov? Rokossovsky? The British army was professional (casualty statistics may point to it being a bit better than the Germans even), but had low numbers. The Americans had a sizeable army, but somewhat below-average units. The Soviets had both good soldiers, plentiful soldiers, and a mighty industry. Also, you make it seem as though everyone who owns a gun has a malicious intent when they buy or use one. Some people have guns as a hobby. They think they're interesting and just like to fire some rounds off at a range.
