tornado touched down near Knoxville, nothing near me but we got one hell of a hailstorm and power was out all night.
I live in Cookeville Tennessee. We had a Tornado warning at around 6:30 in the morning yesterday, and throughout the day it was pouring down rain to the point where we were released from school early. I don't know if we are staying home for today since they barely update the site. My friends yard.
Yeah something hit here, the elementary school had it's roof taken off, and apparently it hit the high school too, a lot of my friend's houses have been hit as well, I hope they're alright.
Nothing happened near me in Cherokee.
I live in Knoxville and had a tornado go over my house, was scary as fuck though. My moms car is dented all to fuck, and my dads El Camino needs some work. And I have school today. Oh Knox county, you so silly.
i live in northern south carolina, and we've gotten a few warnings, but we haven't even gotten any rain. [editline]28th April 2011[/editline] i lied the ground is wet outside so it must have rained last night but still no crazy storms
Roads are still closed around town. We have school. Fuck you Putnam County School System and your dedication to teaching us.
School was canceled here today :D
I live in north Arkansas. A tornado formed in our county a few days ago, but it quickly dissipated.
My old house in Arkansas was found in a nearby lake, and my friend had a skatepark vert ramp wedged in his roof. Glad I moved.
Im in Baltimore Maryland, we got tornado warnings here, strong winds, some rain and dark skys Edit: Well, I keep hearing something, granted I live right next to a highway, but the house shakes every few minutes or so. I think I'm gonna head to the basement and play with my model trains today just to be safe
st. louis here been raining like crazy lately, floods, floods everywhere last weekend we had a bad thunderstorm, tornado went through our airport and a few towns (including some in southern illinois, where i was at the time. shit was crazy.) i actually saw the tornado, nearly shat myself. one of the times i actually took cover lol.
Oh shit. It is not pleasant to wake up and go outside to see a tornado trying to form. :ohdear:
The storm went far enough north to give Michigan some wind, rain, and tornado watches. Nothing too serious though.
I'm in Maryland, about 45 minutes out from Baltimore. They have shut down my college campus because of Tornado Warnings and sightings near the area. Shit sucks.
I live in madison county in northren alabama, power has been out for 2 days now and fucking trees trees every where we got hit badly powed is explected to be restored around friday. Im going load some videos and pictures soon but it will take a while since im only on 3g :v:
I'm being bombarded by lighting on all sides. Plus it's raining really bad and is very windy.
In SE Queensland Australia we have been having bipolar rain that can't decide if it's raining or not I thought it was shitty, but 8 tornadoes? Holy Fuck
KY has been getting constant tornado touchdowns for a week. We've had severe weather drills every day in school and we've had a few real ones. Tornado touched down just a few streets over from my school today.
Yeah, We hade a funnel cloud begin to form one week. I can't remeber when exactly, but it was pretty close to the town I live in. Other than that, there have been costant storms all week. The one last night was pretty awesome. The lightning lasted for minuets and tinted everything purple.
Ha ha, that's what you get for being a shitty neighbor!
Well, it looks like it's finally- no wait there's more. :sigh:
I live in North Carolina. It missed us, for once. I hope you guys down in Georgia are alright.
I live in the exact opposite direction (Michigan) and it still wants to suck up here. But yeah. My friends who live in TN and KN are scared shitless because of all the storms. Hope everyone makes it through OK.
Well, I think it's gone for now. It may come back later though. :ohdear:
Yeah, I live in Augusta(Columbia County) and the storm started up around 5:00 in the morning and went on to about 6:30. Mainly just lightning and and heavy rain. About halfway through it I think it started to hail a little, or it just could have been parts of trees falling on the roof of my house, either one. I don't think there was to much damage around here. Hope anyone in the path of the storm stays safe. I believe the news said there were over 900 lightning strikes.
TVA power athoritys say power is going to be our for at least 5 days wwnt 60 miles to go fimd gas and a generator. [editline]28th April 2011[/editline] Fucking small ass driod keys [editline]28th April 2011[/editline] :( generators are going by like hotcakes
I heard New York is gonna get hit again soon.
not me, but my grandparents were kinda hit by the storm, one of their barns (a big red barn i loved when i was young) got blown away, and the roof of my aunt who lives right next door house's roof was blown away, but the house was so crappy she WISHED it was completely blown away.
Hot Springs, Arkansas (my location) was right in the middle of all this with only a slight thunderstorm and hail. Sometimes it seems like if we're safe then everybody else is fucked.
North Carolina, it hit us around 4am
