(Incidentally I once had an otherkin yelling at me that I should kill myself and when I mentioned I actually struggle with suicide and that shit isn't cool they lost their shit because I had triggered them by mentioning the word suicide, calling me a bastard and continuing to yell at me that I should kill myself)
they also need about 10 different terms that you have to look up what the fuck they even mean (if they aren't completely made up) to describe themselves
it's a grown up unhealthy fantasy world where mentally unstable people make up a bunch of rules and things to call themselves that suit them before rubbing against each other and accepting anything and everything anyone else like them bullshits about as fact (until something inevitably conflicts and brings down the house of cards)

BIID is a psychological disorder that causes an innate discomfort with the presence of a certain limb or limbs - so much so, that many people have resorted to cutting their own limbs off or otherwise mutilating them so that a surgeon would have no choice other than to amputate. Unlike most of IAs other Tumblrmism videos, I actually feel kinda bad after watching this one. Most of the people suffer from various neurological disorders and may just be doing the silly stuff to fit into a group in some messed up way.

It may seem innocuous, but some people are totally using this as an escape or are delusional enough to believe they aren't human. We shouldn't encourage it.
i agree. instead of encouraging it, we should get these people the psychiatric help they need. there are people who hear voices and are deluded by this tumblr sect into thinking they have "headmates" and that it's totally normal and shouldn't be thought of too much. that in and of itself is fucking dangerous and only a light example.

It really depends completely on who you follow. There are certainly sane portions of tumblr, though I think it's a smaller portion than your average social media website.

it's a really good and funny website, and it's a controlled medium when it comes to what you see. You can easily avoid and not see any of this crazy shit at all, especially with the help of extensions.
plus it's an added bonus when you accidentally trigger 15 year old girls you've never talked to with pomegranate cuz they think it's gore. My gf and I make fun of them all of the time. :v:
