Hah yeah i know :P its not much, but i just had some clips laying around so i thought to make a vid, and like ive said, this isnt our best vid, i can do other tricks like backflips and stuff, gotta keep working at it though to get better :)
Jesus what part of Nottingham was that, seemed like St. Anns but parts reminded me of the lace market.
Not sure, i'm not from Nottingham, i live in Lincoln lol, but most of it is filmed near (and under) the Crowne Plaza hotel, if that means anything :S
I get quite the adrenaline rush from playing games like Killing Floor and such, CoD is for casuals anyway and sitting at the computer won't result in me breaking all of my bones.
You get an adrenaline rush from looking at a few pixels? Wow, you are pathetic. Come back after almost dropping to the ground from 60 feet, and clinging onto the edge for your dear life. Now that's adrenaline.
You get an adrenaline rush from looking at a few pixels? Wow, you are pathetic. Come back after almost dropping to the ground from 20 feet, and clinging onto the edge for your dear life. Now that's adrenaline.
Pfft, everyone knows the best way to get an adrenaline rush is to just take shots of it.
Not exactly parkour/free running, but I watched the first two climbers. Fun day. Have to start off somewhere. Headshot's started, what about everyone else here?
It is parkour.....i think you should look up the definition lol
and you know how to perform the moves how? link me to a video of you doing the same stuff we're doing please..
Okay, by that logic "guys, i know how to run as good as people in the 200m dash in the olympics. I do it slow though. Like parkour, i know how to do everything, i just can't do it fast or skillfully!"
your point is?
your point is?
You don't have to make films to be a film critic.
Oh man its just like mirror's edge!
I get quite the adrenaline rush from playing games like Killing Floor and such, CoD is for casuals anyway and sitting at the computer won't result in me breaking all of my bones.
Wow you're sad. Topic: I do agree you struggle a lot when you guys try to lift your body up, you shouldn't have any problems with it when you want to go further with this.
I don't struggle, i've got the fastest climb ups out of us lot, its mostly technique, and i don't really practice it that much lol...i dont think i struggle though....they used to be ALOT better, but because of the winter (everything has been wet/icey/snowy) then i havnt really been out much...i lost my frontflips on concrete and stuff because of that, so now i've got to get them as good as they were again lol
I think it's stupid, you run around and jump like a little bunny on other peoples property.
So basically, 'hurr my hobby is better than yours'. You're probably the one to be whine when you get shunned for playing games that aren't Call of Duty as well. Retard.
So basically, 'hurr my hobby is better than yours'. You're probably the one to be whine when you get shunned for playing games that aren't Call of Duty as well. Retard.
And so starts the hobby war.
Not sure, i'm not from Nottingham, i live in Lincoln lol, but most of it is filmed near (and under) the Crowne Plaza hotel, if that means anything :S
There are better places to do parkour, the benches near the cornerhouse for example.
I know, we also train at loads of other places, but i had nothing recorded and it was a wet day mostly, which is why the guy at the end slipped on one of the ones he were doing in the video lol, so we had to wait for it to dry up abit :/
Wow you're sad. Topic: I do agree you struggle a lot when you guys try to lift your body up, you shouldn't have any problems with it when you want to go further with this.
I don't see how he's sad, some people enjoy playing video games, some enjoy jumping off tiny obstacles like some sort of escaped mental patient.
Pfft, everyone knows the best way to get an adrenaline rush is to just take shots of it.
Wubububu.
no that's called survival instincts, everyone has it, some more than others.
Well, the adrenaline is what keeps you going. Survival instincts wouldn't mean shit without adrenaline. [editline]23rd January 2011[/editline]
Oh man its just like mirror's edge!
If I ever hear someone say they wanted to learn Parkour due to Mirror's edge, I'll stab them with a fork. When Assassin's Creed 2 was released, I saw a guy in my school climb "outside" the staircase, so to speak, and said "I learned a thing or two from AC2, bro".
I was just playing mirror's edge, now I want to learn Parkour.
saddasta: haha yeah, i started freerunning because to me, it looked like fun and you make it what you make it, i enjoy it and i reckon i'd be a different person if i didnt do it, saves me being bored

nah, it might not of been as well known as it is now though, the community is still growing, mirrors edge just helped promote it i guess :)
I don't get it, the people in the third video all look completely different than the second video? Which one are you? Also the third video is mostly terrible. You guys struggled to pull yourself up onto the ledges. If you can't even do that i don't know why you are not in the gym gaining strength.
the third video was just put together of random clips, im saving the best ones for a sampler and a better video, and this is me and in the second video, is our team members as well as us, which have been training for abit longer than us, and also, we dont struggle, i bet you couldnt do that first time without using your elbows by starting on the wall already lol using elbows slow you down, so you shouldnt use it and learn the proper way, and also, the guy in the thick stripes who runs into the wall at the end and grabs on (not the one where he hurts his knee), he slipped while trying to get up the wall because it was wet that day and it was just drying up lol
I was just playing mirror's edge, now I want to learn Parkour.
:fuckoff:
Well I guess it's just a coincidence nobody ever heard of "parkour" until Mirror's Edge came out!
That's called ignorance.
I get quite the adrenaline rush from playing games like Killing Floor and such, CoD is for casuals anyway and sitting at the computer won't result in me breaking all of my bones.
God damn it fatty. If anything Killing Floor is the game for casuals. There's actually a competitive aspect to CoD games.

At 0:36 that kid takes 7 or 8 seconds to get up that wall. I could do that so easily in less time and I never practice free running. That is basic shit and you guys are bombing it. Again at 1:19 he takes forever to get up the wall.
Why would anyone do that?
Because they were too stupid to install Ubuntu on it. :smug:
