the prince of persia movie made me physically angry, one of the worst movies i've seen in recent memory
It'll be like doom or Prince of Persia.
Resident Evil films sucked ass and so will this.
I can't wait to see how far from the actual story the movies will be. I bet most characters won't be there.
This game wouldn't make a good film anyways, it's already doomed at the start.
The real question is what will be worse........the movie or the hipster shit remake new game?
ill always remember the DMC franchise and story for what it was number 1 and number 3 both awesome games and will stay with me as happy memories and when i play them occasionally.

Intro is a brief scene with Virgil and Dante dicking about as kids, then we have Dante's mother dying. Stylistic and dramatic. Jumpcuts through a montage of arguing and moping around, with Dante being depressed and his brother splitting from him, all the while a narrator reads the story as it happens.
Then we cut to the opening of DMC3 or the credit sequence. Perfectly setting the tone for the rest of the film.
Honestly, you throw in a bit more "research" with virgil and dante, a bit more emotional depth and some more romance with Lady (the fun kind, not the "YOU ARE MY SOUL MATE" kind) and you can pretty much just follow the plot of DMC3.
God knows it had enough twists and turns. You could all but re-create the cutscenes and then put them together and it'd be a decent film.

Uggghhhhh. They seem to have basically neglected her existence in the game series up until DMC4 (I missed 2, so fuck knows). But Lady could be more interesting to see, as she had more screen time in the games I think.
I can see this going horribly wrong as a movie though. It just doesn't look like it would work. Maybe if they use the old, tried and tested Dante, as his character is defined enough to script for. But hell knows with the new one. Plus it is a game movie after all. It has to go wrong at some point.

If they go with the new Dante I guess they will have some more flexibility with the story but they will creat a sea of angry fan boys. Considering that in the game the cut scenes were always were a lot cooler than anything you could actually do in the actual game I for see lots of cool flippy shooty over the top fun But the story will be a bunch of shity bananas.
