That voice!
Is it the same narrator from A Stanley Parable?
this game looks 10 years old

This seems way too simplified for my liking
Nope, the fools and casuals whom are new to the series will eat it up. EA will cash in their bucks, and then put a bullet in the head of maxis games after milking it dry.
AND THE CYCLE CONTINUES...

It's Tom Kane, he does A LOT of VA
It would have been awesome if they added the ability to go to war with other cities and command armies and stuff. Just imagine
Sim City 2000 is still best Sim City.

That and the original were the only ones I played, and I played them a shitload. Eagerly anticipating this one.

Anticipated this post from you really :v:
Those buildings going down didn't look as epic as it should.
I mean, a building can't just possibly break into 4-6 simple pieces and then just disappear.
Reminds me of Monty Pythons "how not to be seen" sketch.
But really i hope they can be turn off in difficulty or something. Otherwise it would be really annoying when you have built up a nice city then SimCity just decides "Nah fuck it" and make a earthquake in the middle of city.

In SC4 the destruction looked exactly like that. In 2003.

I think a good idea would be different regions, a list of regions per each difficulty type, so you're in the same region as people on the same difficulty.
Who is the Narrator? his voice sounds familiar.
Holy shit, I read your comment and the guy's voice popped into my head before I even watched the video
I'm psychic

apparently they're just placeholders.

Use placeholders in a trailer intended to sell your game. Good idea!
So no terraforming? At all? Are you fucking shitting me? Half the time I was building a city in SC2000 and SC4 I was either building up or flattening terrain.
This should be noted: "Fan Feedback: We've revealed four of our destructive disasters in the game so far. Now tell us: What OTHER disasters do you want to see?"
I would want to see a massive monster, like Carzilla or something new a cool. Or and volcano.
