likely getting a 1600$ computer before my birthday, which is october AC3 is coming out in october this shits going to be bought in a second in my case. Ezio's AC series was boss. [editline]17th June 2012[/editline]
Wow that gameplay looks pretty intense. This reminds me, should I play Brotherhood and Revelations?
if you liked AC2 get BH and revalations, BH is a bit silly at first, and Rev is a bit meh compared to AC2, but they're still absolutely amazing and worth the buy. Plus it clears some stuff up about the story as well.
Just glad they have bow and arrow. Have a feeling that someone would release a "Link" mod for Connor.
Wtf dude. Go take a nap and think about what you just said.
That looks awesome, but it doesn't really seem like Assassin's creed.
Wtf dude. Go take a nap and think about what you just said.
Gosh, its just a joke. =P Go take a walk or something.
Neat can this be a whole game
Only if we get to do port assaults as well :v:
That looks awesome, but it doesn't really seem like Assassin's creed.
Would you prefer them to make their sequels like Infinity Ward?
I dunno, it seems fun. But it'd get boring for me fast, no historical accuracy in it at all. Super fast gun battle through rocky, shallow waters? Yeah right. Along with the instant turning and 'Explosuns everywhere', seems to be more catering towards the 'I want action naow' audience.
You're right we need a 100% accurate pirate sim. No action for months on end and then you die of scurvy GOTY shit right there
You're right we need a 100% accurate pirate sim. No action for months on end and then you die of scurvy GOTY shit right there
Shit would be boss. :v:
Saint's Row 2 on the high seas?
Mount and Blade Pirates.
You're right we need a 100% accurate pirate sim. No action for months on end and then you die of scurvy GOTY shit right there
in-depth cannon reload simulator blow your hand off and get thrown overboard
You're right we need a 100% accurate pirate sim. No action for months on end and then you die of scurvy GOTY shit right there
People like you. Can't make a good argument so you pull the worst case out of your ass to try and prove a point. Sea dogs, as someone pointed out, did it right. Along with Age of Pirates, they're realistic and fun at the same time. I never said Simulator anywhere, I just mentioned that I'd prefer a 'bit' of realistic game play for you people flipping out over nothing.
It seems that every game of the future needs a better pc to play it in.
It seems that every game of the future needs a better pc to play it in.
That's progress :v:

If I want realism, I'll go outside.
jesus christ why does each cannon shoot like 6 projectiles in succession
I don't want realism, I want to be entertained. If I want realism, I'll go outside.
Once again, another stupid as fuck comment. Can you, by simply steping outside, become an air force pilot? Could you participate in a large scale invasion as an infantryman? Can you rule a nation to conquer the world? No, you can't do all those, in fact I doubt you would. This is what games with realism are for, so you can experience what you normally can't without risk or commitment.

Your argument is invalidated. Also how can I become fully immersed in the realism without signing my life away for 4 years? :v:

"so you can experience what you normally can't without risk or commitment", sure. You're joining the air force. But now you're at risk, and you're committed.
jesus christ why does each cannon shoot like 6 projectiles in succession
Maybe it's not one cannon shooting six projectiles but six cannons shooting one projectile each?
And that isn't realistic how exactly?
And by that comment it's obvious the whole point flew over your head. Have fun refueling those planes.
Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of upon seeing this was the pirate battle minigame in Sly 3
And by that comment it's obvious the whole point flew over your head. Have fun refueling those planes.
You should stop taking this so seriously, this isn't a real life simulator, it's only a game. When I come on the internet and talk to people like you, I want to be entertained, if I wanted realism, I'd go outside. [editline]18th June 2012[/editline]
Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of upon seeing this was the pirate battle minigame in Sly 3
It reminded me of this exactly, which isn't a bad thing in my opinion.
Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of upon seeing this was the pirate battle minigame in Sly 3
i thought of that too, although those were irritating for me but provided so many coins
I don't want realism, I want to be entertained. If I want realism, I'll go outside.
This is the worst fucking argument that people pull out of their ass on the issue of realism. Realistic =/= reality I play ArmA 2 and enjoy it's realistic gameplay. I'm entertained by it, because it has a high quality of gameplay. The realism adds to the experience and makes it different from the cookie cutter michael bay shit that permeates the entire mainsteam FPS. If this were reality, I would not be enjoying it, because I'd have to deal with the shitty parts of war: death of friends, loss of limbs/life, terrible conditions, depression, exhaustion. Terrible argument.

Looks good, but it's just a scripted mission. Make a Sandbox caribbean, like Bethesda's Pirates of the Caribean or Seadogs in this form and I'd buy that shit twice. One for my Xbox and one for my PC
someone should submit this as a full game idea
If you want "realistic" XVII century ship simulator then make one. All you need is passion. Like this guy from Dwarf Fortress. He wanted complex simulator of crazy life in dwarven stronghold so he made one (although he made so far only 34% of what he really wanted). To sum current talk: This is scripted part of ACIII, which was probably made for the PR and will appear in game only once for short time. This game is about fucking mohawk running with axe and bow, killing tea drinking english men, controlled by guy from distant future who fights for some biblical apples. Not a XVII century ship simulator.
