its kinda like a moba meets chivalry kinda
3 different types of warriors (viking, knight, samurai) with various customizations go 3v3? in an arena where there is a constant flow of troops from both sides forming a battleline
I think its 4v4, at least for the one mode they've shown.
other modes might support more players, and/or more teams (3v3v3 would be pretty cool, but would probably be a strictly player versus player team death match without the minions and with more focused maps)
but yeah it looks like the primary mode is 4v4 with a large number of minion AI, and either its moba style where you assist your troops to overcome the enemy's and reach/destroy an objective, or its titanfall styled in that teams have tickets, killing players and minions drops the enemy team's tickets
psure we saw objectives though, so probably a mix of both

now, what i dont understand is why a SAMURAI is throwing fucking kunai and using poison
that's dishonorabru as shit
Because while he fights as a samurai he's really an assassin? That's what the devs have called him every time, "Samurai Assassin".
It must be really sucky and hard to be this nitpicky. Instead of focusing on actually playing the game and have a blast you decide to spend all this energy on how "unrealistic" it is that samurais fight knights.
I just said it's not about realism but about design and art direction.
I'll still enjoy the game for the solid mechanics given it actually has them, but that doesn't stop the Samurai from being tacky and a shitty design decision. It's like every modern fps having a crossbow or a bow and arrow (or both), it's a fucking lazy and tacky design decision that heavily contrasts with the rest of the game's art style.
Games can be hurt by their art direction and general design if said design doesn't know in which direction to go and ends up being a clusterfuck. See how TF2 used to have a consistent direction and then they threw in hundreds of hats and weapons that completely detracted from the original artstyle and ended up turning the game into a disgusting mess to look at.
You can complain about the art direction of a game and still enjoy its mechanics/gameplay.
game seems fun
people complaining about realism will be just as fun

samurai looks likes it was just given that name as a tack-on because it's the japanese equipment class.
Complaining about design is great and all, but you don't know the design aspects of the game, we've only been given trailers not hands on demos. It seems to me you have some preconceived stigmatic feelings towards samurai, because the class's art direction isn't even your stereotypical samurai look.

so he's not a samurai at all then
that's literally the antithesis of samurai
This isn't about realism, it's about design decisions being stupid.
This has vikings and you don't see me complain about it, because it still fits in. It could have a lot of interesting European stuff but they decided to take the easy tacky route and go for samurais.
imo would have been cool to see something like the romans
well actually theres been quite a bit of actual gameplay shown

7 minutes of gameplay footage is not a hands on demo.

Not all samurai were loyal and and followed codes of honor.
