I'd arrest that guy under the charges of being to radical
you're talking like this happens all the time
or is this a common occurrence in your area?
It's not a common thing pretty much anywhere because most have some sense of decency and/or common sense not to do that

Why does something need to happen all the time for it to be illegal?
Fuckin idiot. The first rule of doing these things is 'run and don't look back'. Definitely not 'walk back and start chatting up the cops'.
Are you seriously telling me you think it should be legal for guys to start doing gymnastics over your head while sitting on a park bench?
Not only would I answer yes, it should be legal, but I think it would be awesome if people started doing gymnastics over my head.
It'd be like a circus show.
Except he didn't. Jumping over people is not illegal, nor is filming them in a public space.
That's ridiculous, no sit he didn't, but he risked their safety for his fun, of course they'd get mad, if someone did that to me I'd be p mad

That's great, let's put it to vote then.
why would you link to a reupload of this, op? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thMckjuhTCI
Why are people siding with this guy? If a mistake were made a serious injury could occur. You don't just jump over random people just for the fun of it. Not to mention this idiot tried to run. I have no sympathy for this fool whatsoever.
I dont think cops are allowed to make threats such as "im going to break your neck".
Thats why he wanted to delete the video so badly.
Why are people siding with these kids? If a mistake were made a serious injury could occur. You don't just jump over random people just for the fun of it.
Especially not police officers.
But people always side against the police no matter what.
Maybe not assault, but it should be illegal. It definitely would interfere with my right to be outside enjoying myself. Are you seriously telling me you think it should be legal for guys to start doing gymnastics over your head while sitting on a park bench?
it's called reckless endangerment. as much as i hate cops, this guy's an idiot. if you mess with the bull, you get the horns.

Except a mistake wasn't made. Alternate universe mistakes aren't punishable in this one, sorry.
He tried to run for his camera cause being a police officer doesn't give you the right to delete a video after you told a kid you'd break his neck.

cops were going to let him go.
The bull came out when the bull realizes he was recorded making death threats to someone (im going to toss breaking someones neck up with "im going to kill you")
Cop should have kept his cool. Very far from professional.
i think we can all agree that both sides are at fault here
[editline]17th March 2013[/editline]
though the kid's an idiot for doing it in the first place
If I did this to a cop in Australia he'd probably have a laugh

The cops handled it like any normal person would. But if you see the end of the video it has the same kid doing other stupid shit like jumping on and in front of cars. if you ask me, this kid deserves some jail time for being such a thick fuck.

the cops verbally threatened him and arrested him after they saw it was filmed
i'm sorry I know cops are people too but that's just a very unprofessional way to conduct yourself
The police are NOT there to play around with you or be your friend,
He was probably released afterwards, he didn't break any laws.
Then again, I wouldn't have gone back to be smug about it.
Well at least the officers have a hell of a story to tell back at the office.

Oh I'm sure they could write up a few under certain jurisdiction. Whether they go through the court depends, I would imagine.
This guy is a reject. Jumping over people, ok.. But a law authority? Yeah no, I don't think they're going to be rather 'giddy' at that moment. They have a high stress job, they could die at any moment doing their job. They DEFINITELY don't need some asshole randomly jumping over them.
I would have reacted the same way as per the cops did. Specially when he started to run away, and even resist arrest. That won't look good on your record, bud.
Yea seemed kinda stupid jumping over people.
The person defending the police is right, but for the wrong reasons.
This kid is really stupid for pulling shit like this, people who screw with cops and record it waiting for a reaction so they can see the '~~corrupt c0pz #swag #illuminati' should seriously get a bigger perspective on what they're doing.
So what if you record a cop you just annoyed telling you hes going to beat the shit out of you, wow its so corrupt omg1!!!11 lets post it and every1 will be on my side1!
Why the hell are you doing this? Are you on a personal crusade to weed out cops with a negative disposition, is this your ultimate crusade against tyranny and oppression and whatever else you believe in? really?!
There are a lot of videos like this, and it all receives the same general reactions from the same general people:
1. omg corrupt!
2. both sides are wrong
3. yeah beat his ass!!
then everyone whips out their internet law books like were going to court or something and were about to all be lawyers for the case of the century.
Am I the only person who sees this as incredibly pointless?

I really don't think it was a stunt to show how corrupt and terrible the cops were. Im mostly sure that it was a dumb stunt for kicks.

Maybe not, but videos like this usually fall into the 'fite da sysetm' category and will likely be interpreted as such.
The cops where just minding there own business Relaxing/On break the kid comes up into the mans personal space then hes going to act like a smart ass about it. But i do Disagree how he handled the Camera Situation I wouldn't really care about me being recorded.
I do believe the phrase "just because you can... doesn't mean you should" comes to mind.

Except cops are held up to a higher standard than a "normal person" they protect and enforce the law, regardless of how they feel. (criminology comes in hand for once.)
People take things to seriously
