Maybe not assault, but it should be illegal. It definitely would interfere with my right to be outside enjoying myself. Are you seriously telling me you think it should be legal for guys to start doing gymnastics over your head while sitting on a park bench?
You're an idiot. People who honestly think something of that nature should be illegal should try and enjoy themselves more.
The guy did it once as he thought it would be a funny thing to record BECAUSE it was two police officers. So to say "it should be illegal to jump over someone" is fucking stupid. I'm pretty sure if anyone kept bothering you then it's harassment, no matter what it is, so why would we need to add that.
shouldn't have blurred their faces.
I think the jumping over them that closely should be illegal, so if it isn't considered a form of assault already, the laws should be revised and he should be let off this time.
Pictured here, a dangerous criminal violently assaults a helpless victim.
Pigs
expected this
Looked like a dangerous assault jump to me, the officer was just defending himself.
That dern' hooligan was trying to pull off one of those killing stomping kills from Super Mario Brothers.
If someone did that to me, I would not be pleased as it is selfish public endangerment, he could have ended up kicking one of the cops in the back of the head and killed him (people can die easily from strange things).
The cop's reacted horribly though, like most cop's that are put on the internet.
he could have ended up kicking one of the cops in the back of the head and killed him
is this a joke
It has nothing to do with the guy, threatening people like that and then trying to delete the evidence is the problem.
The cops are there to protect and serve, not be parents. You're fucked in the head if you have any sympathy for the officers in a case like this, especially given their attitude.
If the kid actually messed up and hurt someone, then yeah, discipline him, but he's the only one that was victimized here.
I'd like to give the cop the benefit of the doubt and think he just had a shitty day or something, but damn. Making threats and then attempting to delete the evidence of it is inexcusable.
its really weird that people are defending the police in this instance
I mean, the guy shouldn't of done that, but nothing he did warrants a death threat or an arrest, and filming it is even less of a reason to arrest the dude. Maybe if the guy was actively refusing to delete the tape (He said "no you're not" when the cops said they were gonna delete it, but thats not exactly grounds for a violent restraining against him) I would understand arresting him, but otherwise in this video the cops went way too far.
Well at least the officers have a hell of a story to tell back at the office.
"Yeah, some kid did a pretty cool flip over me, so I violently threw him to the ground and arrested him"
"Awesome work Frank"
Inexcusable behaviour by the officers. Judging by the video they're not cut out to be cops.
yeah sitting on a park bench sure is a dangerous and life threatening activity
clearly their over-aggression is 100% justified by the fact that they were just very very stressed
you know
from sitting on that park bench
are you an idiot all the time or only on mondays
The morons didn't even delete the video.
Hahaha
The dude shouldn't have just randomly jumped without their permission to do so, although the cop just should have said "Sir, please don't do this without asking if it's ok beforehand".
Cops are corrupt and abuse power? Is this news for anybody?
Isn't it illegal for cops to erase video footage? Add threatening a civilian to the charges and this guy doens't even deserve to work anymore.
I'm sure it's not easy working as a cop, but that's something they have to deal with. It's never ok for an officer to loose his cool.
I sure hope it's illegal for cops to threaten people... but in many states it is illegal to film the cops, which is disturbing.
