[editline]26th September 2011[/editline] Took this myself using a homemade reflector (cardboard with aluminium foil). Focusing was an absolute bitch.

Just the other day the movie ticket seller guy asked me how old I was when I went to watch a damned PG 13 movie.

Me and the girl were given children's tickets without question, and the children's ticket age is 12. same day- ~family~ [allegedly]

While these pictures are neither unique, creative or top-quality, what they are however is mildly pretty. The sky was beautiful yesterday. That meant bulb mode, a laptop, my 5D2 and some hot dogs. The result?
we was cruisin', back when i was bald
Neat perspective, though the composition as a whole can be improved a bunch. These things work as noise: A lot of contrast information, and a lot of details where your eyes shouldn't be. Like where your arm goes, and the seatbels and such. The gear is mildly out of focus, and there's some pretty nasty lens-flare-ish reflection stuff. And the gear is slightly out of focus. I'd suggest shooting that at a full F/22 if you're not able to get a closer focus. I'd suggest wearing a lighter shirt to ease the contrast of the image, and cut out the beginning of the seatbelt. I'd put on a mild polarization filter, and I'd have my hand - not on the gear - but right before, sort of reaching out to change gears. This would give the image an edge, make you think, yet be logical in context I'd also lift the camera slightly so you don't get your nose and such in the frame, and you get to see a bit clearer what the goop behind your arm there is, so it's not annoying in a way where you can't figure out what it is. ...though I understand it was just a snap. And I'm not really in a position to give CC with the crap I posted right above.

[sp]wrong thread[/sp]
yup, just a measly snap. while i welcome the cc, a lot of it can't apply for this one, sadly. it was just taken with a crappy holga 135, not an extreme amount of freedom with those, minus a few aspects. anyways, thank you, though. :>

Even though it's nice to give and receive, don't force CC. Also, at f/22 you're just strangling your light and adding noise and blur from slower shutter speeds and higher ISO's. Most lenses reach maximum sharpness around f9ish, any smaller than that and you actually start to get a softer image. (though more is in the depth of field - which is what I guess you were suggesting) broke my merge
It was f/8, B&W 400iso, 1/125.

Studying media, having friends obsessed with photography and owning a small business with photography as a part of it I both give and get criticism all day long. Call it a reflex. This is probably going to be one of those bad poster days. Better lay off Facepunch for today.
I may have posted this picture before on the forum, I can't remember.

Only if you fired all the cameras at the same time.

something about your hands being in your pockets in all of them annoys me one of the first photos I ever took Myself in the mirror. by iamStephen, on Flickr
Third one is only one hand in pocket and last one is no hands in pocket. Anyway I do many different poses but for some reason my upper body poses best with hands in or near my pockets.
