I am still part of my church even though I don't go there or believe in god. I think if americans just introduced themselves as christians instead of atheists there would be no problem.

There are plenty of other reasons to leave the country :downs: For instance, did you know that in a number of states, up until as recently as 2003, it was against the law for your wife/girlfriend to give you a blowjob? Anal sex was also against the law in those states. In North Carolina and Mississippi, if you had been charged and convicted of it, you could serve 10 years in prison.

So wait those laws are outdated? Well fuck me I should read before posting. In any case, they are still ridiculous but not enforced as I now know. I feel better.

I think there was a story about this not long ago. A Democrat Atheist got a job in government and the Rebuplicans complained. Wasn't about religion, just using a loophole in the law to gain power back. It's shit but no-one will enforce it. There isn't any real reason to change it as there is no-one that it really effects yet. If there are actually any Atheists in these governements, then it will change.

There is completely no physical evidence that god exists -> We assume that he isn't real. You know Einstein didn't just create the theory of relativity out of nothing. What's funny isn't that they still have laws like these on the books, it's that they couldn't enforce them if they wanted because if they tried to it would fly in the face of the Federal Constitution. :v:
