Godamn avatar is good. I always thought it was a kids show until I was made to watch an episode. Ended up finishing the Last Airbender in two weeks. Can't wait for the new Korra season. Can't say I enjoyed Korra as much as TLA but it's still good.
I'm hoping that Pierrot hires freelance animators. Yutaka Nakamura and Tetsuya Nishio would be perfect! I think that their animation styles influenced Avatar.
one thing i didn't like about season 1 was how quickly korra became a full-fledged avatar. wish it showed more of how she learned all that other shit

We already had a show where Aang had to invest time and patience to master all four elements. Korra is much older and it is indicated she is a prodigy from an early age, so the physical aspect of bending comes easily for her. It would be boring if they just rhymed off of the last series and had her learn each element over again. I think taking time and showing her try to develop a better connection with her spiritual self was a wise choice. It has made a really interesting build up to season two.
[sp]I hope there's another death scene like in the end of the first season[/sp]
[sp]I heard a rumor that Katara dies....just a rumor.[/sp]
Could be true, considering [sp]how old she is.[/sp] I wonder how many other characters are still alive and might return. [sp]Zuko still is, Azula probably is as well then along with most in their age range. Iroh most probably isn't, sadly. Weird that Toph is dead.[/sp]

But I wouldn't put it past old Bumi to outlive everyone out of being crazy[/sp]

Rather sober. I wouldn't be surprised if something like this were to happen.[/sp]

Oh man, I wonder how she died. She was the youngest of the group and extremely skilled, though possible, I highly doubt she died natuarlly[/sp]
Even without "The Dark Ages" it's hard to take in they have motorcycles and WWI planes in just 80 years. They must've had some sort of Super Renaiassance Baby Boom.
In the Aang story arc the Fire nation had tanks and a giant tunnel boring machine, they had all the fixings for 20th century technology already.
[sp]I'm not 100% sure she did, I'm just assuming due to her missing and how she's generally referred to.[/sp]
[sp]It might be related to the blood-bending attack?[/sp]
Something seems really off with the animation, or just how in general everything is moving. Maybe I'm just being too picky.
My guess is that they utilized motion blur and other CG techniques. Most shows don't seem to blend them well at all. It's strange considering that Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, and Cowboy Bebop did it correctly. You can't even notice the CG at all.
