can someone explain this? i've seen that emoji around the comments about doc coming back and i dont get it
I don't really know how to respond to this process, as if deception and adultery were equally heinous. especially given the latter almost always beckons the former

Poor communication I guess, cause from here you just used "you lied to me" as a point in response to talking about "you fucked people behind my back in a committed relationship", in this case a marriage. It's actually a crime in some places.
My point this whole time has been that people who abuse their partners trust/cheat/lie/whatever can change. That's it and instead the responses i've been getting have been disapproval.

D OMEGALUL C looks like DOC, so it looks like you're laughing at him.
Does anyone else think this trailer kinda feels like he’s using the whole cheating situation as a marketing thing?
I couldn't really imagine him coming back without bringing it up, honestly. Better to get it out the air in-character than pretend nothing happened.
I've been seeing a lot of conspiracy theories about this video, even people saying he faked the whole thing for publicity. This just comes off as silly - what kind of idiot would want the negative exposure from this
Im glad he made up with her! I hope he's faithful and goes on to have a great relationship.
Are you taking the piss? Guy cheats on his wife, if she has anything about her, she won't continue a romantic relationship with him worth shit, I reckon she would only be civil with him for the kids.

"If she has anything about her"? What if the best solution for her, what works best for her as a person, is to mend and continue their relationship? You don't even know the story. It's not a TV show. There are human beings behind these media headlines and the pathetic celeb gossip drama shit.

You guys are acting like he came out as a nonce. Yes, cheating on your wife is bad, but frankly it has nothing to do with you guys and certainly shouldn't be a career-ender.

It seems more like an indirect way of acknowledging his fuckup while keeping a seemingly comedic attitude for his character.
(Also because acknowledging a big fuckup will always be better than trying to bury it, especially if your job basically includes in the line of fire of anyone with a keyboard, it would get overwhelmingly disheartening real quick, not that he won't be swathed in it, but it'll at least lessen it).
Facepunch moralising is some of the worst shit ever. Their personal life really isn't any of my business for the further 5 seconds that I care about anything related to this guy outside of the persona he adopts, I'll hastily wish him and his wife a hearty and sincere "whatever" and send them all the "meh"s I can muster. Good on him I guess, her too... You do you as hard as you feel like it.
It's really none of our business. Looking forward to the youtube ripoff highlight uploads from kids with no editing skills.

It's really well done. I find it hard not to respect their decision and it does signal that they've got it handled on their end, so speculation and arm-chair moralising is unnecessary.
what's even up with the internet suddenly becoming armchair moralists these past 5 years. It's annoying as hell.
Hey if people can forgive JonTron for being a massive racist then I'm sure they can forgive the Doc.
I'm sure we're all excited to see this guy play PUBG for 6 hours
As for Dr. Disrespect, at-least he actually manned up for what he done and tried to fix things instead of continuing his twitch career and keeping silent.
I think I said this somewhere else, but this isn't a little mistake that you can say 'sorry' for, sneak away for a bit, and have it all fixed up.
I don't think you can change from deliberately inflicting massive emotional harm on another person AND the child you raised with them. That critical lack of empathy and regard for other people's trust and wellbeing doesn't just go away. tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if he just cheats on her again, now that he knows he can get away with it.
Who said anything about "sneaking away for a bit"? You solve it by doing the exact opposite, facing the damn problem, taking responsibility and earning back trust and respect. If you think that's trust that can't be earned back, good for you, but don't impose that on every relationship.
my respect for him is huge not everyone can cheat on there wife and get away with it he must have a big dick

100% agree. It is really between his wife, family, and himself.
after that vid, I really think it was just some sort of insane business tactic: fake a family argument by saying you cheated on your wife and needed to work on things, take a 2 month vacation, totally loving life with the wife and fam, then come back with a collab video of you and your wife saying you're getting back in the game.
enjoy those 500k viewers on your first day back, and no one mad at you for taking such a long break away from streaming.

He didn't sneak away though. He came out, admitted what he had done, and disappeared from the internet for awhile. Presumably to fix things with his family life.
If you're going to sit here and tell me you've never made a seriously shitty and bad mistake in your entire life I'm going to call you a liar. Cheating is shit, and yeah sure, "in the moment" there may not have been any empathy going forward. Sure, Doc crying infront of a shitload of people on stream when he admitted what he did could have all been a ruse, maybe he's just a sociopath.
What difference does it make? Why does the personal life of who you watch content from matter?
Are you taking the piss? Guy cheats on his wife, if she has anything about her, she won't continue a romantic relationship with him worth shit, I reckon she would only be civil with him for the kids.
You know it's possible for people to forgive one another. People do stupid things. Yes cheating is a horrible thing to do, but if his wife decides she wants to work through this that's her decision. Doc coming out on twitch and telling everyone what he did was probably a first step to him earning her trust back. Don't be so negative all the time.
What he did was terrible yeah but they both talked it over and currently seem to be together again.
I don't see why other people should be mad for him.
Worst case scenario would be that he suddenly left twitch and came back as if nothing happened with the cheating story being 'leaked' or whatever weeks later.
Evidently the only mistake he has done after the cheating part is that he shared that information with everyone on twitch instead of keeping it vague, because people can be horribly judgmental/vindictive and will usually just project their own experiences onto it and act shocked when completely different people act in completely different ways.
while i know what youre goin for here, jontron said retarded shit on a podcast whilst doctor cheated on his wife
kinda different stuff imo
facts can be corrected but dr can never uncheat his wife.
Whatever happens between the doctor and his wife is none of our business in the first place and none of us should care. We only know about this because he chose to go public for some reason. We are not the ones who decide if he gets forgiveness or not.
imagine he planned this as a way to compete against Tyler1's return, he never cheated on his wife it was all just a ruse to build hype
All jokes aside his wife must be one understanding/forgiving woman and I hope for the sake of them and their kid they're past this and that they don't get too much flack from twitch shitters

That's their business and I will not tell them what to do but I can judge his character based on what he did.
y'all are acting like dr disrespect cheated on you
you guys need to grow up
the guy cheated, he literally announced it on his page, his wife has clearly forgiven him and she was the one who recieved the pain. You guys can justly say that he's a dick, but my god you guys are taking it personally. Give him a chance just like his wife did, jeez

Exactly. Just like in the thread where he came out to say he had cheated, people here are totally lacking the concept that we're all capable of change and forgiveness and just because -you- think that someone who cheats can't change and should never be forgiven doesn't make it so.

i think those people a jealous of his way with women
So I guess he made up with his wife?
I kind of hope so and I really hope he could patch things up with her.
Still think it was a real scummy move to pull and that kind of tarnished my idea of him, but if they can get back to normal and never have stuff get in between, then so be it, best of luck to him.
Twitch chat is gonna remember him about it for the rest of his streaming days anyway. I don't know how he's even gonna do the whole questioning thing, since people are sure to be spamming him with shit about it.
