How you can get your friends' passwords, or why you should trust Firefox.
You compared it to robbing someone's house. I was just following in suit.
I wasn't comparing it on the same level, my entire point was that if you leave yourself open to something like this happening, if it does happen it's your fault.
I'm not saying that since I messed with a friend's facebook I'd also rape someone. That's completely ridiculous. You're looking for ways to complicate the argument.
Not really.
You live in a house, I assume. Does your house have doors?
I set a master password

I compared it exactly as you did. So either we both did it on the same level, or neither of us did.
That's completely ridiculous.
If you have a house, and you don't put doors on that house, if someone comes in and takes stuff from you, who's fault is that?
It's yours for not putting protection in place.
Your logic is so pathetic and stupid I don't know why people are responding too you.
Or you could password your passwords.
dawg

Answer my question, then. You live in a house, and your house has doors. Why do you leave your doors closed?

Because it keeps wild animals, insects, and heat/cold out. It is not so the scum of humanity can steal what other people worked hard for.

Clearly. Do you own a car, by any chance?
Yes, I do. I don't see how that is relevant though.
Where do you keep your car? And I'm assuming you keep it locked.
It's your username. You have to click "Show passwords" and another column will appear to the right.
In chrome, I first select the username and then press on a button that says "show password". I clicked it and it shows my password right below the button. Except for one, which is just a random combination and I was wondering why.
Where do you keep your car? And I'm assuming you keep it locked.
I know people who leave it outside unlocked. What you're to saying is that it's the victim's fault he got robbed, not the thief. Which is like something a 10 year old would say to defend himself.
In my driveway. Unlocked.
No matter the precautions you do or don't take, the point still stands that anyone that chooses to steal from another person (Or any other crime because "They were asking for it/It was their fault"), that person is not a worthwhile person for anything.
and this is why you use a program that encrypts your passwords.
I'm sure that if you were to forget to lock your door and everything you have ever owned was destroyed or stolen, you would not say that it was your fault.
So if I rob a man it's his fault because he did not have a gun?
ITT: people who don't have friends don't realize that friends mess with each other.
the robbery analogy was stupid though.
I initially thought this was a parody thread

Yes, but something like this is taking it too far. It is more about the idea that you cannot trust the person.

Pretty much this.
As long as you don't destroy their personal life, then it's all in good fun. Most people would just laugh at the Ching Chong Ding Dong thing.

I understand that friends mess with each other I just got pissed when he used his bullshit protection argument.
Thanks! I quickly deleted all my saved passwords!

It's not a bullshit argument, it's completely true. Precautions exist for a reason.
It's not a bullshit argument, it's completely true. Precautions exist for a reason.
Yes, they do exist for a reason, but that doesn't mean that dirty wastes of space that steal from others can use that as an excuse to do just that.

And I completely agree. But Facebook is an entirely different story, considering you're not stealing from someone or causing irreversible damage or harm.
Is there a way I can see all passwords typed into a browser?
And I completely agree. But Facebook is an entirely different story, considering you're not stealing from someone or causing irreversible damage or harm.
We were talking about robbery right now, not your facebook douchebaggery.
I use LastPass for firefox, as I had a virus at some point (RUNNING IN SANDBOXIE!) that decided to send all my passwords anyway. Fuck sandboxie. And derp.

Yeah, sure but that does not justify your actions even how hilarious they were and how little damage they caused.
Master password :science:
