I'll go ahead and pitch in to suggest a foxbody mustang. Sure they arent THAT appealing, BUT the GT models can cost under 6k, 5-speed manual trans, and 5.0l EFI V8 with 225 hp 275 ft-lbs torque (I could be wrong but thats just about right).
