Just finished S1, Wow FUCK that was TENSE and BRUTAL. And yes I needed to CAPITALIZE these words to show you just how TENSE and BRUTAL it actually was! [sp]Felt really shit towards the end of the final with Becky, I like her :([/sp]
Did not expect [sp]Carvel's sudden character development. Holy shit, it all makes perfect sense now and actually seems halfway reasonable. Sort of unfortunate that it means the Network was just born out of classic Nazism like all the other typical big bads these days.[/sp]
Really good episode, fuck that was a strong start. [sp]Though what's going on with Becky and her condition? No-one has brought it up or did she get the years supply of medication?[/sp] [editline]a[/editline] Also, [sp]am I the only one annoyed by how stereotypically stroppy/rebellious they made grant? Like even with everything going on he pulls the gun on someone cause they got mildly frustrated with him?[/sp]
just saw the latest episode [sp]how did I not guess the adjustment to janus? like, they basically told us in series one and in the flashback episode that he was big on the whole race thing, I'm surprised I was as surprised as I was[/sp]
[sp]Jessica's gonna get pregnant. [/sp]
Speculation: [sp]Carvel's modification to Janus causes it to be ineffective in individuals of mixed race, so it will sterilize only select groups of people and eventually result in a world where nobody is racially "pure," thereby flipping Nazist racial ideology a big old ironic bird. Somehow Jessica is going to have Ian's baby and Molly Sol--Becky is going to die. Grant hopefully gets fucked up somehow. Some combination of "Arby/Wilson kills Milner/Lee/Wilson" occurs.[/sp]
[sp]During the last scene in the most recent episode, the editing made it seem like it was very very very likely that Arby shot Becky.[/sp] also
[sp]Some combination of "Arby/Wilson kills Milner/Lee/Wilson" occurs.[/sp]
[sp]inb4 wilson kills wilson[/sp]
the foreshadowing in ep 1 dictates that [sp] Pietre kills Milner, I really hope this is the case [/sp]
the foreshadowing in ep 1 dictates that [sp] Pietre kills Milner, I really hope this is the case [/sp]
Which part do you mean? I never really caught that.
Which part do you mean? I never really caught that.
The part where Pietre kills the rabbit and his mom finds him.
watching episode 2 of S2, jesus christ [sp]lee had such a creepy re-entry[/sp]
utopia soon, lads I forget, is this series 6 episodes as well as the special, or did the prequel count as the first episode?
utopia soon, lads I forget, is this series 6 episodes as well as the special, or did the prequel count as the first episode?
No, Just 5 episodes total including the prequel. (That or I completely missed an episode :v:) [editline]5th August 2014[/editline] How long till it's broadcasted? I need to know so I can know when to expect it in my very local cinema.
Exciting highlight of this week's episode: [sp]Old Man Carvel sobbing and saying "I love you" over and over brings me to tears, even if he is literally worse than Hitler.[/sp]
it's sad this thread isn't as big as the other threads in this subforum. [sp]I'm really curious to how they're going to make a series 3, as the network aren't the big bads anymore, and I presume ep6 is going to be about finding and stopping terrance, perhaps carval/milner/terrance will win and the flu will be released and series 3 will just be what happens next, or possibly series 3 will just be about different characters.[/sp]

if [sp] Pietre dies, I riot [/sp]

I don't really want a third season after all... this Also I hate how disposable characters are in the show I know it's part of the show's appeal to have vivid comic book styled executions but I wish the show evolved from its first season and started to take its characters more seriously [sp]Milner randomly dying to Grant, I think she deserved a better death. I would even have been happy if Jessica just killed her with a knife right there in that bathroom.[/sp]

[sp]In S2E1, young Pietre kills a rabbit because his father conditions him to. In S2E5, Grant really wanted to be like Pietre, and then Carvel confused him for Pietre, so it all clicked. A young "Pietre" killed a rabbit again.[/sp]

I know it sort of makes sense because he's killed before in Season 1 but the jump from that to his whole new attitude in Season 2 seems weird, especially with how he'd already found a friend/older sister figure in Becky towards the end of Season 1.[/sp]
Been hearing good things about this show but I have one question: is it fast paced, and if so is it fast paced from the start (none of this needed to watch a few episodes before it gets going bs)?
Been hearing good things about this show but I have one question: is it fast paced, and if so is it fast paced from the start (none of this needed to watch a few episodes before it gets going bs)?
if you can't handle a show being slow but good i don't think you're refined enough to watch shit like that yet
Been hearing good things about this show but I have one question: is it fast paced, and if so is it fast paced from the start (none of this needed to watch a few episodes before it gets going bs)?
Dude, Season 1 is only 6 episodes. They didn't have time for filler.
if you can't handle a show being slow but good i don't think you're refined enough to watch shit like that yet
In my opinion slow shows aren't very good (maybe they are for some, but not for me). If you aren't keeping me engaged, what's the point? I watch TV to enjoy myself. And to clarify, by slow I mean lots of filler as Demeschik says. I don't mean fast as in lots of action and explosions, I mean it as in fast paced dialogue and story telling.
Dude, Season 1 is only 6 episodes. They didn't have time for filler.
That's what I was hoping. Thank you.
I don't think there's anything that would qualify as "filler" anywhere in the show
I just watched the finale. [sp]that fucking ending. good god WHY[/sp]
Amazing finale. Only thing that I didn't like was [sp] the death of Lee. Though I understand it and somehow don't think he's going to return again[/sp]
omg
[sp]Fuck that wannabe Wilson, also that stomach carving scene was dubbed so badly it became funny.[/sp] I take back what I said, [sp]the finale lead into Season 3 was great. Also if Becky really died it would have made me both love and hate the show so much more.[/sp] [sp]I like the chemistry between Leah and Wilson, but I'd like to see Leah commanding a bit more since I prefer her to Wilson's overblown "I'm not the same anymore" thing. I liked that she had her own independence even under someone like Milner, such as when she was about to call Geoff to cancel V-Day or the fact that she was at liberty to criticize Milner and her attachment to Philip.[/sp]
