I was going to post Ireland's but I cant find one on youtube that isn't an IRA montage or footage from a GAA game.
Does anyone agree when the soviet national anthem is played on the accoustic guitar it makes it sound 'friendly'?
Poland's anthem is a ripoff of Yugoslavia's "Hey Slavs" anthem.
Poland's anthem was written two years after the partition of Poland in Italy when General Dąbrowski was fighting for the French Revolutionary Army led by Napoleon in the Cisalpine Republic, now Italy in 1797. However it was adopted later on being the de facto anthem after Poland gained independence in 1918 and then was officially adopted as the official anthem in 1926.
Yugoslavia's anthem was penned a whole 37 years after the Mazurek Dąbrowskiego was written by a preist who was appalled that while visiting Prague he found that German was more commonly spoke. He actually based the melody on the Mazurek. Thus you're wrong it was the other way round, it's amazing that in the Internet age people still try and pass opinions as facts when one can check so easily.

It confirmed you were wrong, get some reading comprehension.

I don't quite get what you're saying here, the Mazurek's melody and words were written in 1797 thus it would be impossible for it to be copied. Besides the two's lyrics are completely different.
Poland has not perished yet
So long as we still live
That which alien force has seized
We at sabrepoint shall retrieve
March, march, Dąbrowski
From Italy to Poland
Under thy command
Let us now rejoin the nation
Cross the Vistula and Warta
And Poles we shall be
We've been shown by Bonaparte
Ways to victory
March, march...
Like Czarniecki to Poznań
After Swedish occupation,
To rescue our homeland
We shall return by sea
March, march...
Father, in tears
Says to his Basia
Just listen, it seems that our people
Are beating the drums
March, march...

Hey, Slavs, it still lives
the word (spirit) of our grandfathers
As long as the heart of their sons
beats for our nation.
It lives, it lives the Slavic spirit,
It will live for centuries!
Vainly threatens the abyss of Hell
and the fire of the thunder.
Let everything above us now
be shattered by a storm wind (Bura).
The cliff cracks, the oak breaks,
Let the earth quake.
We stand firmly
like the mountains,
Damned be the traitor
of his homeland!
Oh, well that was a suprise, someone on FP admitting they're wrong.
I thought that Hey Slavs' melody was original, but Poland's lyrics were older, but took Hey Slavs' melody.
Your quote from Wikipedia just confirmed what I said to be true.
No, it says Hey Slavs is influenced by Poland, not the other way around.

What country?
Good question, perhaps it's just some form of communist magic.
Here, take the old Soviet anthem, The International.

Oh man, I love the Internationale. It's just such a well written song.
Hard to beat the Marselliase though, especially this version:
What country?
Italy. Seriously, it sounds like something out of a carousel compared to other anthems, such as Russia, Germany, even France.

It's sad to see what our anthem has become. It was forged in the battle to gain our independence, and now it's just associated with less than what it actually means.
