Thing is that the "MOBA" (god I hate that term) genre is super competitive, you simply cannot do a full price "MOBA" most of the time.
HOWEVER, there is a way where both can effectively exist, a model present in Smite. Smite is free to play by default, with weekly rotations and microtransactions for buying skins and gods, but if I recall there is an option to put down $30 and get all the gods (and maybe skins) in the game along with future gods. At least I think that's how it works.
Either way it seems like a sound strategy, having free to play but with a "buy all content for a fixed price" option so you can get everything if you know you're gonna stick with it.
I fucking HATE it when Americans try to do cockney accents. that teleporting chick makes me want to hit things.
I think it was intentional to give her voice an edge and make it aggravating. It seems to fit for a hard to hit annoyance/juggling class. However, instead of making her extraordinarily condescending or immature, she's just overly jubilant, which will probably become a bugbear to players as they hear this squeaky grating thing kill them by teleporting around the place.
Yeah, many games I see with intentionally annoying heroes/characters/etc tend to give them equally annoying voices and lines.
it's literally fucking tf2.
The fact this has 50 agrees really makes me sad.

Because on the face of it, it is. Its a charismatic class based shooter starring a cast of multinational characters that cooperate to achieve objectives. Underneath the skin its a much different game, but considering how rare these types of games are, tf2 is the first game that comes to minds to compare it to.
maybe people should quit being reactionary idiots then? it doesn't take much effort to look "under the skin".
like it wasn't even "hey there are some similarities" it was "LITERALLY FUCKING TF2"
Well cut them some slack, I felt the same too. that in itself doesn't discredit the entire game, and just because everybody rated that doesn't mean they also cast the entire game under the bus based off of their preconceptions.
When will blizzard actually make a real game besides a card game, expansion for a 10 year old MMO, and shitty moba no one plays?
I want Warcraft 4, New Starcraft-esque game (Please no HotS bullshit) and a dungeon crawler without Auction or Micro transactions.
I hate it when people say things like this. Wtf is a "real game"

Everything from blizzard past HotS has been a big "Fuck you" to all the old blizzard fans. They have falled off from the core aspect of community involvement with WC3 Frozen Throne, Starcraft, and battlenet. Great things has come from WC3 and Starcraft that has benefited PC gaming. After that blizzard has not presented anything that has influenced gaming.
Moba's like LoL, HoN, Dota2 and Smite has originated from WC3 Dota and AoS SC.
Starcraft gave the extreme high RPM RTS and started a lot of e-sport scene.
WoW was and still is the biggest MMORPG out there
And only thing new they have brought to the table recently was a decent card game... yay.

Blizzard is a big company, and while it's normal, I guess, to have high expectations for them considering their past success, it's a bad habit to expect a masterpiece like Warcraft 3 at every corner.
Also, don't underestimate Hearthstone.
Honestly I don't see it ever being as popular as TF2. It seems like it only understands why TF2 was good on a very small level, but failed to understand the fine tuning that went underneath. For example, different classes with on both teams with non-distinct silhouettes is going to be a bitch if you want to recognize anybody, and the environments are a clusterfuck. They look nice, but when you try to differentiate an enemy from the level design, it's going to get problematic.
Not saying I don't want it to go well, but it seems like a spiteful effort.

A lost a lot of hope from blizzard after how bad they fucked up SC2 with HotS. Also count how many failed projects they have announced and went into development hell.
I don't know, but to me the game just doesn't look fun
"It's like TF2"
people say that like it's a bad thing
seems kinda cool. i hope it doesn't turn out mediocre and then subsequently become dead within like months or something
Potential to be WAY better than TF2
Classes look really fun to play.

jesus christ the fake asian accent on hanzo with all the edgy mysterious catchphrases pisses me off

I dunno, it'd be fine if they did it in a humorous way, but they seem to be playing everything completely straight.
Which sucks because none of the characters seem to have any personality with the cast being uninteresting everywhere. The only one who seems to be even the least bit interesting is the giant talking ape, but all I can think of is Good Guy Gorilla Grodd
imho the abilities feel too grand and a bit gimmicky to try and be something unique
maybe that'll work great and be an amazing game with that idea but it could also make it a huge cluster
I don't really care for the real world setting, feels like it would be kind of limiting.
I like it so far.
Comparing it to TF2 is not a bad thing. TF2 was the MP-game for many, many years. Perfect balancing, great style, fun maps and modes, great humour.
I grew tired of it, got like 600 hours on it and now I hope that this game becomes as good as TF2.

He's pretty much Grodd. Utilizes intelligence to supplement his gorilla strength.
Hanzo looks fun to play. Hopefully that bouncing arrow is actually a bouncing arrow, and not fancy splash damage. I've always been a sucker for bouncing bullets since MGS3 and Jaykin Bacon.
I don't know how to explain it, but the characters feel more like Moba characters than anything I see in shooters. I'm not too fond of it.
I see that TF3 is coming along nicely.
I hope it follows TF2's F2P model and not League of Legends's model since they're going to use it for Heroes of the Storm.
I don't know which other multiplayer F2P game that uses TF2's F2P model. Seriously, I don't. I should really play more games.
I don't understand why people are OK with TF2's model but hate LoL's model.
Seriously, just take the basic idea of TF2's model, replace "weapons" with "champions", add runes (which CANNOT be bought with real money), and you have LoL's model. I don't get what's so awful about it.
On Tracer's story
She reappeared months later, but her ordeal had greatly changed her: her molecules had been desynchronized from the flow of time. Suffering from "chronal disassociation," she was a living ghost, disappearing for hours and days at a time. Even for the brief moments she was present, she was unable to maintain physical form.
This kinda reminds me of Dr.Manhattan in Watchmen.
