I don't mind the TF2 resemblance at all given that it went to shit and hopefully this one turns out to be good and won't end up in a costume party.
Haha, you know it will. This game feels like it would appeal to the LoL crowd, and if it does then you can be sure it's going to be a costume party.
This looks legit actually.
I want to be a robot gorilla
gee wow i never knew class based shooter + cartoony art style = automatically copying from tf2
Gee I didn't know that MMORPGs = copying WoW
Watching the reapers special ability or whatever in the trailer just makes it look op as fuck
Watching the reapers special ability or whatever in the trailer just makes it look op as fuck
The archer dude's dragon shit also looks fairly OP with infinite potential for abuse. I can't imagine how they will balance them while keeping them fun.
Watching the reapers special ability or whatever in the trailer just makes it look op as fuck
I can't imagine the trailer is fully representative of the final product.
A lot of the abilities were likely cranked up for demonstration purposes.
I want to cum inside Tracer
it's literally fucking tf2.
Better than another COD clone
That Reaper skill is literally just the Demon Hunter's 'Strafe' from Diablo 3 :v:
Jesus, Tracer's voice is just the worst, literally no one in England sounds like that. It's a shame because she looks fun to play but I can't stand faux-Cockney accents so any in game voice clips will drive me insane.
I don't see what's wrong with Tracer's accent
I don't really understand how you're supposed to tell what's a teammate and what's an enemy. Doesn't seem like it's a coloring thing, because some characters like Reaper don't lend themselves to team-coloring at all.
Art style is a far cry from TF2's imo. TF2 is pretty specific with the whole "50s advert" thing, this doesn't seem very similar.
All the special abilities seem absurd of course. We can only hope them ramped them up for trailer, or else I really can't seem this game being anything but a giant clusterfuck.
I want to cum inside Tracer
10/10
There are two things that make me think of TF2.
The payload gamemode and Torbjorn's turret.
The fact that people think that's enough to make the game a ripoff...
It'd be nice if the gameplay demo video wasn't like 15fps
I want to cum inside Tracer
I'd tap that like I was writing War and Peace in Morse code.

It's really badly done.
I love reading threads like this because all we've seen is a gameplay (showcase) teaser and some ability demonstration videos.
Yet every one here talks like they've already played the game. Also about abilities being OP, well maybe they look OP against people how PURPOSELY die to the attacks to get people interested.
You say they are OP now, but when people are at the bottom of the scoreboard and say that X hero sucks, then it's gonna be another story.

I dunno, massive AoE instakills through walls are massive AoE instakills through walls any way you slice it. If they boosted the damage numbers take make them instakills for the sake of the video, fair enough, but purposely trying to die to the attacks isn't really enough of an explanation for something that powerful.

If my observations are correct Hanzo actually screams loud as fuck before shooting his ult, which makes it possible for enemies to avoid it. It also takes a time to actually start dealing damage, hence you can't point blank with it. And using his sonar arrows you actually don't see silhouettes but markers above their head, which makes it a bit of a guess who is behind said wall.
And people who earlier complained that characters seem to move too fast.
Hanzo's ult isn't typically fast, so is dodging a problem?
I refer you all to this video, and all the other demonstration videos.
Observe and remember what I said about the targets in these videos.
If that is you in-game maybe you're better off as a car mechanic or an athlete.

But imagine that in a tight corridor, or on an enclosed control point inside a building. Or hell, just when you're a little bit distracted fighting somebody else. It takes a little bit to activate, but it's honestly not that long.
[editline]8th November 2014[/editline]
Some of the characters move pretty slow as well by the looks of it, some might not even be able to get out of range before it reaches them.
Maybe if the AoE didn't go through walls then people wouldn't be calling it OP.
I don't even see how a character with a 1hko move that hits through walls is going to end up being at the bottom of the leader boards unless the utilization of said move is scarce.
Like no one needs the game to come out to say "1hko Multi Kill surprise attack wall passing AOE is OP ass fuck"
Also nice avatar
Well to be fair, it is a bit OP.
But, however, considering that almost all "OP" hero ult's work like tie-breaking "killstreaks" it's probably a good thing. In the gameplay trailer we can see Hanzo killing Bastion at the start of his showcase, this granting him 4% to his ult meter.
Assuming the meter resets on death you would have to get 25 kills without dying to gain access to the ult. Of course I don't know what kind of % assists and captures grant, but one could assume it would be something similar.
And that is also how it should be, the more powerful stuff should be hard to obtain. Just like nukes in mw2. Sure that shit ends the game and kills everyone, but it also requires a 25 kill streak which is not something your average Joe gets in every game.

During the shoutcast we could hear the dev saying that maps are usually maze-like with many routes to choose from for easy mobility and tactical play. Anyhow, I must admit that when putting it in a scenario like this, it is quite OP.

I don't really see the logic behind "You killed a lot of people earlier, now you can destroy people without giving them adequate ability to react to or counter it". That just doesn't seem fun to play against at all.

When will the blatant ripoffs end?
I imagine that like TF2 and rage Heavies and Pyros, rage Bastion and Reinhardt will be a thing.
I want to cum inside Tracer
Thank god i'm not the only one. Is there R34 stuff yet?
[editline]9th November 2014[/editline]
Yep. There sure is.
Neat.

real talk, that is probably my favorite character design wise.
