NSW victory!! 14 - 6
It always amazes me how every single year, for these few months, there'll be constant streams of shit-flinging going on between Queenslanders and New South Welshmen, then immediately after it's over everything goes right back to normal like nothing happened. I'm not even interested in the game itself but it's still fascinating to watch my mates getting worked up about it.
Great game, NSW win 14-6. I'll upload the highlights when they are released. [editline]5th June 2013[/editline] Paul Gallen was mad.
Gallen got some nice hits on that QLD'er!
just wait till the reds win the series (ps. I was watching the union instead)
We needed this win, the first game is always crucial to winning this series. Even if we lose up at suncorp, the home ground advantage for game three should be more than enough to end QLD's dominance. Although I'd absolutely love for NSW to win the series up there for game two.
Loved how that NSW bloke threw a hissy fit to the ref because the guy he got in a fight with would hit hard with all his tackles. You would be doing the same thing to him mate.
Gallen got some nice hits on that QLD'er!
he should of been sent off, what bullshit. How did he fucking avoid the sin bin and get a report instead [editline]5th June 2013[/editline]
Because it's origin. They're always lenient as shit during origin.
I've attached the highlights to the OP for your viewing pleasure. To be honest, my opinion on the game is that NSW showed a real desire to be there & to win, whereas QLD showed none of their form which they are so famous for.
Paul Gallen cheap shots all day everyday. Myles didn't even look like starting a fight, he jsut stared him down.
Hayne just injured his hamstring in Eels v Roosters NonoNonoNonoNonoNono
We're running out of Fullbacks, Brett Stewart is still injured, Hayne is now injured. Assuming neither of them can make it (highly likely) it'll be either Mini or Dugan by the looks of it.

That second game was horseshit. Sincerely, A New South Welshman.
You bloody cockroaches got Morteined.
I've updated the OP. The game 3 decider is tonight. Can the blues stop a winning streak 7 years in the making, or will the maroons push this crazy even higher? Time to find out.
The ABC says if Queensland doesn't score between the 15th and 28th minute then NSW will win, apparently... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-07-17/state-of-origin-crunch-time/4825810
That asshat should be on report for the head-high tackle.
OP updated with final results, Queensland take the shield for 8 in a row. Consolation was that a friendly streaker interfered in play, stopping a very dangerous looking Queensland side from scoring.
It's been five years since I have heard of a streaker at a major sporting event. Some cricket one I think was the last time it happened. In this day of sporting security that is amazingly impressive that he managed to get that far out. Well done to him I say.
