All I saw was the end scene of the first Mummy film. It was pretty funny, but I do need the time to see the whole thing.
No Hopkins what are you doing.
You can take the time to question your sanity come around 12pm when the full trailer drops.
Calling it now. Russell Crowe is the mummy.
This looks terrible.
- It's a mummy movie, and they show some plane crash that lasted too long. Why put so much effort into making a plane crash in a mummy movie ? It's not a disaster movie.
What?
Yeah the trailer looks awful, but this is some nitpicky shit.

I think what he's getting at is, as far as trailers go, why was there so much focus on this plane scene. We practically saw the whole scene and then the actual trailer played.

Because it seems to be a major part of the story?
No Brenden no sale.
TBH, I thought the plane scene emphasis was pretty good. It's the setup for the film, which will probably be over in 15 minutes or so anyway, so there's a minimum of spoilers. And apparently, Cruises dies. Then comes back! Cool, why'd he come back, has he got mummy powers, who bestowed them, was it the mummy, 'cause that'd be silly, maybe the mummy hasn't got full control of it's immortality, now we've got a fallible antagonist and a protagonist with a reasonable plot mcguffin. Colour me interested.
But then, obvious ham-fisted love interest, modern-n-gritty, cliched sound bites. Might watch it with friends during last week of showing before getting drunk as a skunk.
The Mummy and its sequel are some of my favorite movies I adored as a kid, and seeing it so radically changed like this just feels weird to me. [sp]I could care less for any of the sequels after the first two, though.[/sp]
I still occasionally watch The Mummy Returns bloopers for a good chuckle or two. :v:

The Fraser Mummy movies were Indi inspired. This does not look derivative of either. What are they doing!?
tom cruise did not give the impression of being scared in the plane crash scene, i don't think he knows how to feel scared, he's probably never been scared in his life

A man who does things like this probably finds it difficult to act scared. He has no point of reference.

He was abused as a kid, he knows plenty; he just simply lacks the range.
