I swear some of you just pick out any reason to hate on Trump or any supporter of his. The guy was clearly just trying to be fucking peaceful, while the protesters were causing problems. Go fucking figure.
Well, you have to think of it like this. A bunch of people decide to protest something; and some weasely guy who is a part of what they're protesting comes along, and stamps out what you're doing with his douchey sunglasses and trump hat, talking about how he's right and blah blah blah (this is how it looks from the protesters angle). If I were one of them I would probably get mad too. Now, I don't condone what they did at all but it's completely understandable why people got pissed off.

You dont light shit on fire. Its fucking illegal.
Now, I don't condone what they did at all but it's completely understandable why people got pissed off.
I am really getting tired of reading this constant apologetic non argument. "Oh no, I'm not condoning it, I just understand why they are doing it" "I'm not condoning punching people in the face, I'm just giving a list of reasons why it would be a good idea to punch people in the face"
Sometimes i feel Tudd is a Russian troll just stiring shit in this forum because all his posts are attempts to put protesters in a bad light and that only supporters are the good guys. I mean, this video has two sides to it. One is provocation (supporter with a clear supporter hat) and a protestation part (protesters angry with the current situation and seeing blame in people who helped him created an incompetent and nonfunctional government). Seriously Tudd, you're really shining light on yourself.
Cyka Blyat, you have exposed my cover. You will never find me in my high-tech Facepunch Disinformation Bunker though! I'm not even on their side... I'm literally just saying "this is why they got mad". Why do you have to find a target?
I mean, he's being a dick. Like what they did was wrong but you're making it seem like he's doing it unprovoked.
"This is not how you tell people you're not happy how things turned out." Yup he's a total asshole. Definitely deserved the beating he got...
this thread is a shining example of the demographic on this site what a fucking mess
The majority of people are agreeing that this guy shouldn't have been attacked???
But its not understandable why they got mad if they're being irrational dickheads lighting shit on fire.
Peaceful protests do not work. Sorry to tell you, but you seem like a guy who might be able to coldly understand that blood on the ground (< this is a metaphor for fucks sake, before you even try) is the only thing that ever brought true change. You can agree with it or disagree with it but it doesn't change it. You need to seriously disrupt the thing your protesting for it to truly take notice. Sad facts of life. Wish it wasn't like that, but unfortunately it's true.

I edited it like 20 seconds after I posted and you already took it out of context... I KNEW you would take blood on the ground literally.
I edited it like 20 seconds after i posted and you already took it out of context.. jesus.
But you're still objectively, factually wrong. How have you never heard of Mahatma Ghandi?
I edited it like 20 seconds after I posted and you already took it out of context... I KNEW you would take blood on the ground literally.
How is blood part a metaphor if you said that peaceful protests do not work? The opposite of peaceful is violent. What kind of protests do you have in mind that are not peaceful but do not involve literal blood while also being effective? Do tell
In what way is "blood on the ground" even a metaphor. What is it a metaphor for.
you're part of the problem
idk man I think he just posts deliberately hyper-edgy as shit posts to get a rise out of people :v: Even anarchists and conservatives aren't as disagree'd with as him.
Because its important to understand things and not paint every situation as black and white. It's such a harmless position to have and I don't understand how you can be against it unless you like the polarization that comes from Tudd threads. I don't blame the guy for getting attacked and I don't think he's at fault. However it's obvious to see why it's unwise to get in a crowd of rioters who obviously oppose his viewpoint and for him to try talking to him. Like what are you guys even attempting to do besides furthering an argument that doesn't need to be made. Does it need to be bullet pointed for some of you? 1. They shouldn't be setting things on fire 2. They shouldn't be assaulting some guy and stealing his belongings 3. While it's good that you're trying to help you generally should not walk into a crowd of rioters wearing the oppositions hat and attempt to talk to them because they're obviously pissed and you're only making them more volatile You can have multiple views on a subject without them contradicting each other.
I am well aware of the importance of trying to figure out how other people view things, however there are times when it's abundantly clear when the person is trying to dilute blame. The kind of "Well they can't help what they did" sort of dillution of blame wherein they try shifting it to the victim. Toothpick's post doesn't provide any sort of reasonable/understandable reason for assault. It was just that the guy put out a fire and the protestors got mad, "If I were one of them I would probably get mad too.".
In what way is "blood on the ground" even a metaphor. What is it a metaphor for.
Even if it did entail blood literally on the ground, what's does it matter? People have issues and the issues are not being worked out. They want change and they don't care about the other people who are restricting that change, so they lash out? What's not to understand. I think it's stupid and I don't support them but it doesn't mean they literally have no purpose and are incapable of being understood like you seem to make them out to be. They are just angry people, man.

And I would really appreciate it if every time I made a post like that, you didn't try and silence/attempt to get me banned with rhetoric like that. [editline]21st January 2017[/editline]
Dude holy shit.
What does this even mean...? Is that really such an abhorrent thing to do? Look at the opposition and try to understand what their thought process is? You're really melodramatic.

It does not absolve them of responsibility or them being called assholes. The thing is we do understand them but we don't agree with their reasoning.
What does this even mean...? Is that really such an abhorrent thing to do? Look at the opposition and try to understand what their thought process is?
I'm not justifying anything. I'm literally saying "this is why they are mad".
And we're saying that the what they did and why they are mad is stupid.
I'm not justifying anything. I'm literally saying "this is why they are mad".
This:
Peaceful protests do not work.
And we're saying that the what they did and why they are mad is stupid.
Hell, so did I. "I think it's stupid and I don't support them but it doesn't mean they literally have no purpose and are incapable of being understood like you seem to make them out to be."
Hell, so did I. "I think it's stupid and I don't support them but it doesn't mean they literally have no purpose and are incapable of being understood like you seem to make them out to be."
Yeah but I am fairly certain we do understand them. It's not that we think they are alien in thought, it's honestly just primitive.
Sounds like justification.
To be fair that doesn't necessarily mean endorsement of this. It can be more of a defeatist statement, like saying it is awful but unavoidable.

What does that even mean, "blood on the ground" isnt a metaphor, yet you claim it is one, but you havent said for what.
