Holy fuck. Bioware. I was just kidding about Mass Halo 4: The Falling of Titans. You actually gave us that.
Welp, another evil ancient alien race story. I guess we won't have a Star Trek type story hook we all hoped for.
That would require hiring a good story writer, and those always cost more - hence why they didn't.
gameplay when
You could just, you know, skip that piece of content.
Probably going to do that if the romance options are bad. I'm hoping they don't go the Dragon Age 2 route and make most of your party members bisexual even if they are aliens.
they should add an asexual alien that you can attempt to romance and fail spectacularly
they should add an asexual alien that you can attempt to romance and fail spectacularly
Not the same thing but in ME3 if you're a female Shepard you can semi attempt to romance Joker and end up scaring the shit out of him.
they should add an asexual alien that you can attempt to romance and fail spectacularly
They should, but they'll make everyone bisexual instead. Because inclusive and progressive (hey, let's also inflate all female characters' tits while we're at it!).
You could just, you know, skip that piece of content.
Not really. In ME and and Dragon Age 2(didn't bother with inquisition), showing any interest in the backstories of your squadmates led to romance. I spoke to Ashley and Anders a few times and they basically said "are we going to fuck or not?" out of the blue and I wanted to continue with Anders' loyalty quest so I ended up boning the guy.
Inquisition did a good job avoiding that.

Recent titles have made it pretty clear when you are embarking on the relationship path.
I have never accidentally romanced a character, even in ME1
Have you played Dragon Age 2? Because there's one scene where if you say good job to Anders you and him make out.
Have you played Dragon Age 2? Because there's one scene where if you say good job to Anders you and him make out.
Your mistake was being nice to DA2 Anders.
Your mistake was being nice to DA2 Anders.
I really liked his character in DA: Awakening so when he appeared in DA2 I was all for being best buds. I never realized they turned the womanizer into gay man so I was really shocked when I gave him a compliment that lead to a full blown make out session :v:
I have never accidentally romanced a character, even in ME1
I accidentally romanced Ashley in ME1 and Jack in ME2. All I wanted to do was go out and shoot baddies. I didn't mean to bang them. Honest.
Have you played Dragon Age 2? Because there's one scene where if you say good job to Anders you and him make out.
Actually in Dragon Age 2 all romantic options were displayed with a heart. The problem was you had a choice between "Hey guy I just met, want to jump on my dick?" and "Well you're just a right cunt, aren't ya?" in your first conversation.
still no sign of the genre-defining deconstructive radical & heavily marketed outrageous incest romance option, wtf bioware you cant get the media boost if you hide it too long
How does this look like halo?
How does this look like halo?
It's written by the guy who wrote Halo 4 (which completely fucked the series up) and this trailer has a lot of similarities to Halo 4
How does this look like halo?
Did you watch the trailer?
It's written by the guy who wrote Halo 4 (which completely fucked the series up) and this trailer has a lot of similarities to Halo 4
At most partially written, since that writer left a year ago.
At most partially written, since that writer left a year ago.
I have to imagine most of the story was set in stone by then.
I have to imagine most of the story was set in stone by then.
Yep.
Twin asari dating when.
Instead of ancient evil arises, this game would've been perfect if there were like fully developed civilizations and shit in andromeda. Kinda like some alien invasion story but from the invaders point of view.
There are several "fully developed" races, remnant tech is still a desired pandora's box.
Yep.
How do we know for sure it was set in stone by that point?
He left and I don't think they announced that anyone replaced him. Doesn't make a big deal to me, since Halo 4 was giving me Mass Effect vibes so the villain doesn't seem out of place to me, not to mention Star Trek Beyond did roughly the same thing and felt fine.
