And it's really just some dumb girl standing there smiling. There is absolutely no point in it.
I haven't watched more then 3 episodes of any anime in the past few months? I'm just trying to make the point that hating on anime for "causing" weeaboos is the same as hating on video games for "causing" school shootings.
I get what you mean, but that's a horrible example. Weeaboos are caused by anime (mainly) because people like it's art, it's language and everything and they usually contain a lot of Jap culture and of course there is the music. They dig all this and start juding the whole country based on what they learn through the shows they watch and start making an image that that must be pretty similar to how it is over there. Which is pretty awesome. Especially since they got all these craazy game shows over there. And they start trying to learn the language through the simple and deformed Japanese language used in anime and think it's a proper way to talk (often with horrible pronounciations and misspellings) and they pretty much dig into everything, usually through wrong sources and start dreaming of moving to Japan and live there. With videogames it's not really the same even though it has it's similarity. They are exposed to violence, and if they haven't been raised well enough in terms of right and wrong they might start mixing the gaming world with the real world. But it's not something they start doing because they want to and dig into it, it's just something that happens because of exposure to content they are not really ready to recieve in such amounts they have been exposed to. Hating anime for causing weeaboos is the same as hating computers for causing nerds.
I feel like a racist saying it, by i really, truly, wholey hate Japan and everything that comes from it. I hate the culture, I hate the language, and I hate the politics. So I get very annoyed of people shouting quotes from their favorite animes and shit. There are two girla at my school who exclusively talks about anime and mangta. Loudly. And it pisses me off to unimaginable extent listening to their yabbering about hiow cute some gay dudes hair is and how they hate echii(some kind of softcore porn apparently) because it's discrimaniting imaginary women or something. [editline]12:44AM[/editline] Also on every break they sit around being twats and drawing shitty manga drawings(some of it is almost pornographic, most contradictory) because they think I'm their freind or something.
Funny, you could say the same thing about Western culture.

You're trying to justify his point by saying it's the same for america? That's not how you argue, he's just being racist without reasons to back it up, I mean, you can hate a form of media, I understand that, but to hate everything that comes from a place? That's absurd.

Yes, and i'm saying that someone from an Eastern Culture could say almost the exact same thing to Westerners.
1/100000 have drawing skills, the rest are horrid. Anime really needs to be drawn really, really well to actually become a form of art rather than cheap cartoon doodles or failed drawings.
My friend Jensen (who's asian) is pretty damn good at drawing anime that he just makes up. Just thought I'd say that :sigh:
he said taking pictures takes one year away from your soul and degrades your chakra
So I wonder how much this guy likes high speed cameras. You should ask him.
A side question, shouldn't it be "People who think they are in anime"? I am not native English speaker and it just seems to me that it should be spelled that way.
What country are you from, that's impressive.
I think it's called "Imagination".
Imagination is uber gay. :smug: tagged for size [editline]10:37AM[/editline]
What bested it?
I like pizza, but that doesn't mean I go around and get devoured by 15yr olds at parties.
I have the same problem in my school, there's this midget in my class who is always annoying, apparently he thinks he is naruto. one time he tried to do a rasengan during class, he looked like an ass in front of class and got detention. and he also thinks that a ruler is a good replacement for a kunai or a shuriken He gets beat up everyday :)
I knew this guy that thought he could control the weather. He was drawing circles and shit in the snow, then he put his hands down and did shit. He also had cutmarks, and said it was because blood got taken away from him or some shit like that, i was about to dropkick him in the face at this point. And here's the funniest part, he was 17.
fuck them all
If they are into anime, beat them.
But I like watching animé. :saddowns: Though I don't want to copy and imitate it.
There used to be a kid in my study hall who looked like he was about 30 instead of 16 who used to spend all of study hall pleasuring himself through his Adidas gym pants while look at an anime comic book. He hung out with the kid that shit himself everyday.
The Japanese Anime sub-culture is the shit-hole of all that is known as culture... FFS It's even worse than French-Canadian culture. Even when you consider that French-Canadian culture is plain old blind stupidity.
There's a kid in my english class named Tommy, but he has everyone call him Guthix or some shit from a game he plays called RuneScape.
It's no surprise that everyone in my school who likes anime looks like a heroin addict. But does A cause B because anime is drug? Or B cause A because they have no friends?
I have talked to this man on another website where he goes by "Pow Pow Punishment". He is a fan of Berserk, Hajime no Ippo, and Fist of the North Star. Now what was that again?
well duh, he's a fan of all the ones that are EXTREMELY MANTASTIC
I'm actually an anime irl. No joke.
This really gets on my nerves. It's like a embarrassment to my generation. FIRST, I'm gonna use my brother as an example. He does not watch anime anymore, he was pretty obsessed at first, mainly with DBZ. After a few years he grew out of it and wasn't as obsessed, just watched animes like death note and shit. He quit watching anime for sure after a while, but I noticed he still had that stupid hair like in a anime with a mix of van helsing's hair. Now, it seems like he's a mix of anime/vampire. He doesn't go out at night, and is pale as fuck compared to the rest of my family. Here's what really bothers me, he LITERALLY thinks he is in a movie/anime. Everything he does, he does like an anime, posture, walking, drinking, etc. Now, his laugh. His laugh sounds like the blood elf from WoW mixed with the main character from deathnote. Who actually laughs like that? I don't know why but I hate weaboos with a passion.
I have no problems with people that watch anime, but I can't stand most of the cosplayers. Most of them are 150 cm tall blobs of fat with a black trench coat and a 2 metres long katana, they never resemble the character they are cosplaying as (if you like a character, why the heck you would ruin his image is beyond me). Then of course there are rare cases in which they actually look like the character they cosplay as, but those are really few.
all i have to say to that, guy does the voice amazing [editline]01:40PM[/editline]
This really gets on my nerves. I used to like anime, I always wished we were in a world where no one would move, and movements were extremely precise, and every time someone was surprised they'd grunt and take a step back. Now, I'm so glad I didn't try cosplay.
Saburachi chin chin mono! ~~ ^_^**
Damnit image not working, oh well.
I don't understand why they'd go around thinking they are in animes, I'm cool with cosplay though, it seems fun if you don't look terrible while doing it. I've seen some people play around like they are in animes, but not kids over 14.
The problem is that they (most) do look terrible. Last time I checked Sephiroth wasn't as wide as his katana is long. It must be said that it's not only JRPG and anime cosplays that spawn hideous organisms, people cosplay as other stuff too (Joker from TDK, for example, though some do it pretty well).
I saw a japanese man yelling at some anime cosplayers, that how they make japanese culture look bad or something at a local mall.
all i have to say to that, guy does the voice amazing
Oh wow, he is rather good.
rumour in the school about me having sexual interests in Dolphins
Oh fuck what school do you go to. :geno:
I've had old people from old schools post music videos in japanese when they didn't even speak Japanese on facebook. I raged and was like "Do you even know what their saying....?" she replied "I don't have to it just sounds good" "So you don't know what their saying...?" "Do you understand what their saying?! No I didn't think so!" "Yeah I don't speak Japanese because I'm not Japanese.....not to mention I speak ASL and spanish" "Yeah we'll I speak English beat that!!" "I'm removing you...."
I love Buraka Som Sistema and they sing almost entirely in Portuguese. Music isn't just about lyrics.
