Replacement apples. I just don't know, I've met her a few times. She often came across as one of those indignant, victim types who ask to speak to managers.
Not just replacement apples, a giftcard for the trauma she went through.
Just rah, you didn't see owt wrong with it before you packed it, didn't notice before you bit it. Was the 16 year old lad stacking the shelves meant to test every apple in case one was bad? Get your apples and fuck off.
So I was originally running a SIM-only contract on a discount since my parents are with Virgin but they're jacking the price back up to £20 a month, so part of me's thinking of going with it because I like having unlimited data and texts but I literally never see 3G signal, let alone 4G. Is there any other contract provider with a better deal that anyone else might recommend at the same price? [editline]EDIT[/editline] I'm from North Derbyshire (Chesterfield area) so anything that's got good coverage in that area is great.

Giffgaffs signal sucks though
I was gonna say has anyone got any experience with giffgaff abroad? I'm on Vodafone and when I go away I pay £5 a day to use my UK minutes, texts and data. It sounds like a lot but it's cheaper than not doing it. My phone bill atm is £110 from when I was in Aus last, it gets picked up by work but I've still got to pay it first
Right lads need some peace of mind whats a "decent" amount of money to live off for 3 and a half months? My loan after rent is about £700, and im heading off at the start of the next month with a further £550-600 from working, however im gonna go and search for jobs once I get there anyway anyone know if that would be a sufficient amount, im not really a big spender by any means, Im considering getting one of them student accounts around christmas time with an overdraft of about £1000 just incase, but I know where my money is right now, all I was gonna do was split the money I have with my loan about 50/50 so I have £700 for living and the further £550 as pin money. I dont really see the point in getting a student account at the moment considering I know where my money is right now? [sp] also I swear to god if another tory joke comes from you andrew I'll cut your NHS even more.[/sp]

[sp] also I swear to god if another tory joke comes from you andrew I'll cut your NHS even more.[/sp]
hahahahaah that fucking spoiler man tbh mate, what's your rent? do a spreadsheet, put every imagineable cost down. i just did one there for myself, assuming i tank it for a month and only make £1000 now obviously, you don't have council tax to consider and all that shit, but you could do what i did in 1st year.... this kind of thing allows you to basically predict your bank balance and any tight months and plan for it. i would seriously recommend you take a student account with 0% fee free overdraft. you can find out the best rewards here. you could even keep your old account to keep your job money going into that, and "drip feed" it into the new account so you don't overspend and have a wee bit of wedge at the end of the year for a holiday or to tide you over for summer. having an account with overdraft is not free money and you should NEVER treat it as such. it doesn't take much for your circumstances to change and if you're suddenly not at uni, that "free" money becomes £1500 of debt costing you £10 a month and 18.9% interest. i would recommend you do little things to save money - for example plan you food spend, try avoid eating out too much per week, stay away from the meal deal lure or even set yourself a max daily spend. a good way to keep on top of food spending is doing massive asda shops (consistently a cheap supermarket for staples) of about £60 a time, i can get a good 14 days with one or two meals out from that and it saves me SO MUCH compared to when i'd just grab shit from tesco after uni. tl;dr, get the student account now, get the free railcard and 0% overdraft, get your SFE to be sent to the new account, and let your pay from work go into your "old" current account, make spreadsheets. if you want the spreadsheet or anything else, just ping me an fb [editline]26th August 2016[/editline] also: banks are fucking desperate to get you in early so you become a customer for life and will bribe you with free overdraft, free railcard etc. if you aren't getting the best deal, move. if you find out you're consistently in credit, consider switching to an account that pays in-credit interest or cashback (like tsb) hope it's some use
I always tried to do big shops, they were the best maybe rent in boro was just pretty good but I managed to do the three years without any savings or ever using an overdraft
[editline]26th August 2016[/editline]
How much roughly do you pay a month for a student account with overdraft anyway? Im currently with Nationwide flexione and I can opt into the flexstudent, I was considering santander due to their free rail card which could save the odd £15-30 every time I travel back to Eastbourne I've been shopping recently at Lidl and find most of their stuff is actually pretty decent, especially dinner wise. Cheers for the help mate!
you pay nothing
you pay nothing
oh fair enough! when I was filling it the forms it mentioned something like how much could you pay a month towards the credit or something like that.

Think I heard someone getting arrested outside of my window last night. Hopefully that'll put a stop to the dealers outside making a fucking racket at 3 in the morning.
Do you have a gym membership? Go use a Gym's shower.
gonna get one soon but moving into a tip top flat so this purgatory will be over

Cheers for the help mate!
I've got a budget roughly worked out for my year which accounts for spending I can account for such as food combined with information based on what my sister said she spent (obviously -makeup spending +video games etc) and I've got a rough spreadsheet which I can send you if you want. One thing which will help is buying and cooking in bulk then freezing (really hoping the people I share a kitchen with aren't food stealing cocks) food. With regards to bank accounts, if you need to get a train Santander have the best in terms of freebies and a pretty good overdraft (it's an 'up to' amount but apparently most people make it there or close whereas others you can end up with very few making it to the advertised amount iirc) so that's what I've gone for. Are you staying in halls or renting privately? If in halls you'll probably be close to one of my friends who is in halls near Solent.

Ah well I'm glad my accommodation and finance is all sorted, just got some money from both sets of my grandparents towards a laptop which ima order this Wednesday Cheers for the heads up lads!

I rented outside my uni the second two years and they were alright aside from the deposits I never got back living in a house with 6 other people was a bit busy tho
If you want any of your deposit back, you take pictures of fucking everything and then send copies to your estate agent and landlord... then actually clean up when you leave and take pictures of that as well.
i'm sorry to hear that mate
I mean it's no different to normal halls, right? Only a little bit more money by about £20 more
i'm a first year in a shared house because i'm not sure why i saved up for this if i'm honest
halls suck dong either way imo, i got matched with a bunch of clean-freak meatheads who didnt drink
The point of halls is that even if you don't get on with your flatmates there's another 50+ minimum people within 5 minutes walk.
If you want any of your deposit back, you take pictures of fucking everything and then send copies to your estate agent and landlord... then actually clean up when you leave and take pictures of that as well.
we got over 3/4 of our deposit taken off us because the skirting boards were a bit dusty; despite us sending them videos and pictures of the rest of the flat ( and also the mould that we removed that was present when we moved in ) moral of the story : never go with grant property and take as many pictures and videos as you can of how it was when you moved in, and how it was when you left it with timestamps
halls suck dong either way imo, i got matched with a bunch of clean-freak meatheads who didnt drink
That doesn't sound too bad at all. Non drinking meatheads are probably the best meatheads to live with. If they're clean freaks that's a bonus normally students houses look like traps.
fun fact: a lot of universities abuse their position as both landlords and unis by invoicing you for "damage" instead of taking it out your deposit (a deposit deduction can be challenged by safedeposit scotland) and threatening to prevent you matriculating if you don't pay
